If he could ever get those figured out, he might be useful. I didn't think it was a bad idea to move Castillo when we did: his offensive game was largely predicated on his legs and those were starting to diminish. Less than two years later, the Twins didn't get much for him either. It really might not have been that bad of a trade had Bowyer not been damaged goods. He was the centerpiece of that trade. BTW, for those who know something about recovering from torn labrums, what are the odds that we see Bowyer ever pitch again?
August 13, 200719 yr 2 things about the trade 1 This was really a trade for a power arm in Bowyer who they expected to be there closer. 2 Personally I think the Marlins got confused when they talked about the trade. The Twins had 2 pretty decent Pitchers Scott Tyler and Scott Baker. I think that the Marlins were looking to get Baker and took Tyler instead(Only hope that was the problem) However he is a good arm,but more than likely will be gone from the organization soon.Alot of guys have passed him by(Zarate,Nestor,Molldrem,Mobley)and alot of guys are coming up that will soon be passing him by. Plus he is off the 40 man roster so!!

Unfortunately Tyler was a borderline prospect to begin with.
August 13, 200719 yr Yeah, because an office full of people who keep track of prospects for a living will confuse two players because they share a last name...
