iTunes Question

Featured Replies

Alrighty, so I just became the last person on the face of the planet to get an iPod. I currently have music on a program on my computer, but not in iTunes. Is it possible to move those files from my current program to iTunes, or to get them onto my iPod from that program?

Gracias.

In iTunes, go to File -> Add Folder to Library and select the file where all your songs are. It'll do the rest for you, and it'll sync automatically with your iPod from there.

damn, that's so easy even my technologically inept self can do it.

Thank you, sir.

If you're going to make a technology everyone's going to use, it's a good idea to make it user friendly :lol

It can be even easier. Just drag the files into iTunes, and it will automatically move them into your iTunes Music folder and ask if you want to convert the files to iPod's default AAC format.

You can also take the music from your audio CD's, record them, get their information off the internet, and sync those to your iPod.

well, turns out all the files I had in Musicmatch are protected and can't be transferred. This is very frustrating, i've paid for all these songs in the first place and now I can't even put them on my iPod...

Anyone know a way around this?

Don't buy music with DRM on it ever again.

What type of files are they, .mp3, .wma, .aac, .m4p?

how do I check that?

I right clicked the files and clicked properties and didn't see anything.

Man I feel so helpless
