The invasion of privacy award will likely be overturned, IMO, because they were in a public place and he probably had no expectation of privacy outside the province of his funeral. Chances are good that, if they even consider this, they will be found to have invaded the province of his funeral. The jury did so, but the law might not consider that a proper conclusion. If one has an expectation of privacy even into a public area, where these people stand, then that really opens up some doors.
