I think the nickname "Big Play" can go to anyone at this point. Alex Gonzalez and Brad Penny have certanily earned a stake in that name. I think the one that takes the cake would have to be Al "FAN"so Soriano. His ability to look stupid on strikeouts is unmatched by even the clumsiest minor leaguer. Al"fan"so after every "fan" looks to crowd as if to recieve divine intervention. What he needs is a new batting coach. During the sweltering day of the New York Blackout all you had to do was go to Yankee batting practice and sit next to their former leadoff man.

I heard that the players call Pudge "The Bulldog" for how he is a leader of the team. I think he should be "The Godfather" though. But Bulldog works.
