October 28, 200323 yr Rod Roddy, the announcer on TPIR, passed away today. He had been battling colon and breast cancer for some time. Prior to TPIR, Rod was the announcer got the game shows Press Your Luck and Hit Man, and was also the announcer on Soap. We'll miss ya, Rod.
October 28, 200323 yr Rod was also the announcer on "WHEW!" I learned of this unfortunate event from the news this morning. The teaser going into commercial was "'The Price is Right' has lost a family member." Knowing of these problems and having seen Claudia's recent post on Golden-road.net, I knew it was Rod right away. We'll miss you, Rod!
