July 22, 200818 yr So I was doing a little research, trying to see if Cody had a legit shot at a player of the month award, and espn.com allows you to sort by month. So i pulled the July split (min 25 plate appearence), and who was in the top 5 for average in the month of july................... Amezaga hitting .429 in 35 AB (small sample size, but how many players would kill for a month like that) Ross is flat out raking it at .377 (with better power numbers) Hopefully both can keep it up for the important stretch run
July 22, 200818 yr Ive notice that to. amezaga has been hitting really well this month, and thank god for that. At a time where gonzo and helms are struggling, we needed someone to step it up off the bench, and amezaga is doing just that.
July 22, 200818 yr More interesting thing is that we had the most sacrifice fly among NL. but, we had the least sacrifice hit in this season.
