The Deadline is July 31st at 4:00PM; we only have 6 more days and should see a lot of activity from here on out. The latest rumor is Casey Blake to the Dodgers for a couple prospects, but one of them is Jon Meloan - a hard throwing righty that I've always really liked. July 26, 200818 yr Author I wonder how Jake's value compares to Blake's. I doubt it is as high as Blakes, but man I would have taken either one of the two prospects the Indians got back for Jacobs.
July 26, 200818 yr I think Blake has more value than Jacobs. If you have a hole on your team I think Blake can fill it. I don't think Jacobs can fill a hole.
July 26, 200818 yr Obviously Blake is better for a contending team now....but Jake is a lot younger than Blake and would be much better suited for a team thats not quite in contention.
