August 26, 200817 yr For the second time in 2 weeks, I was hospitalized. During my recovery from the appendectomy, I was experiencing intense indigestion issues. When this went way beyong Tums, Mylanta, Prevacid and everything else I could think of, I knew this was serious. I waited from 3 am Sunday morning until 6 am (until my hubby woke up for work) to ask to be taken to the emergency room. After going through an endoscopic upper GI procedure, I was diagnosed with an ulcer. Lovely!! Now, I'm on a steady diet of Prevacid and watching what I eat. No tomatoes, citrus and bye-bye to spicy foods. I will be back to work on Friday and am anxious to be back at work. This has been a very strange school year opening for me. My kids have been at work for a week and they haven't seen me yet. I am so blessed to have co-workers who are willing to step up and help me. They are amazing. I hope to be active again by next week.
