Everyone here saw how a bunch of "Fans" got up and left during Game 3 of the World Series and that was the friggin World Series!!! Build the stadium with the roof right away and get it over with. Because then later on we are going to have to hear "There is no money for that right now" or "We are trying to get the city commissioners to vote on money for the retractable roof" etc, etc, etc. No fuss, no muss, get it over with all at once! :mischief2

But they need to find the money first. I rather have the Marlins at their OWN ballpark without a roof, than seeing us continue to struggle at PPS without a roof as well.
October 31, 200322 yr we only had 7 rain delays this season including the world series delayed game. 1 rain out when lake lucerne showed herself at pps vs. montreal. people down there need to stop being so afraid of rain and get out, they all know it won't rain, but don't go. remember that the 16,000 per game average we had this year would have filled up the ballpark to about 42% capacity and it wouldn't have seemed as bad playing there or watching it on tv.
October 31, 200322 yr It is not the rain delays and rain outs that scare every body. It is the rain! South Florida is huge and if it is pouring at your house it could be sunny at the stadium. And the skies are always threatening. If you have been to a game that has been delayed: you know you won't want to come back for that s***!

Have you ever been to Wrigley? You'd rather go to a game there too. And in Chicago if it rains, it rains, but they don't have that surprise rainstorm s*** like they do here. And where would you rather see a game in our football stadium in Lake Lucerne, or in that beautiful stadium in Downtown Pittsburgh?
