November 11, 200817 yr Just got the game for PS3 and started a fantasy draft with the Heat. So far I'm 8-5, and in second place in my division. My starting lineup: PG- Steve Nash SG- Raja Bell SF- LeBron James PF- D.J. White C- Shaq Probably sounds like a good lineup, but I barely have any depth, and I had to give up a few draft picks. Also need to work on dishing out some of the bigger contracts. as long as you got lebron you can win games. my lineup is more balanced with one star player and good role players. PG - Derrick Rose (80) SG - Stephen Jackson (84) SF - Peja Stojakovic (80) PF - Al Jefferson (91) C - Andris Biedrins (81) i have a deep bench but i had to give up all my draft picks to assemble this team. and i started the association with the kings and did trades because i don't like using fantasy drafts. I was lucky and got one of the top picks in the draft, which was how I picked up James. Obviously, he's getting all the points, while Nash is getting all the assists, but the rest aren't doing too much, except for Shaq scoring a bucket here and there. Since my best bench player is only a 74 or a 75, I think I'm probably going to trade Shaq (84) for around a 78 or 79 center, and a decent backup forward or guard. good luck trying to find a salary match with shaq making 20 million my highest bench player is 76 (salmons) but the rest of my bench is between 74-75. i don't use them much except for stuckey, salmons, thompson, and hawes. but it's always good to have depth in case of an injury to a starter. Actually, Shaq is signed with the Blazers for a 4 year/$19 million deal. Still couldn't work out a deal though. I might just let the season play out, keep him on the trading block, and wait and see what happens.

November 15, 200817 yr You're right, fantasy drafts screw everything up. I felt like I was getting nowhere because I drafted the wrong people, so I just started a regular season with the Heat. Let's see how that goes.

Let's see how that goes. exactly. and you feel more satisfaction in knowing you acquired players like in reality through trades. all you really need is to upgrade at PG and C. with the kings i pretty much had to upgrade in every position and the bench. i was just messing around with the heat team and tried some trades if you're interested. marion, chalmers, wright, 1st rounder = baron davis, thornton sign jamal magloire. banks, magloire = okur, price, 2nd rounder quinn, future 1st and 2nd rounder = ramon sessions, 1st rounder sign jason williams. mourning, williams, jones, 1st rounder (from MIL) = artest, thompson that would give you a linup of Baron Davis/Wade/Artest/Beasley/Okur. then you can do minor signings and trades to build your bench for instance my kings team took over 20 trades/signing to assemble and it's pretty good if i may say so myself. Starters Derrick Rose (CHI) Joe Johnson (ATL) Peja Stojakovic (NO) Al Jefferson (MIN) Spencer Hawes (SAC) Bench Rodney Stuckey (DET) Francisco Garcia (SAC) John Salmons (SAC) Jason Thompson (SAC) Roger Mason (SA) Linas Kleiza (DEN) Chris Anderson (DEN) Nicolas Batum (POR) Sean Williams (NJ) Dee Brown (FA) so only 4 original players from the kings roster still remain on the team after all my trades and free agent signings.

Too bad I didn't see your ideas before I completely changed the Heat's lineup, lol. Starters: PG- Chris Paul SG- Charlie Bell SF- Tayshaun Prince PF- Michael Beasley C- Dikembe Mutombo I think I should be able to make the playoffs, plus my bench is pretty good. The only players I still have from the original Heat team are J-Will and Cook. One thing I don't like about this game though, is that you can't sign a player higher than 85 and place them as a backup, or even a the sixth man. If you do, then they'll get pissed and they're morale will drop to around 25-50, and their rating will drop to around 75, making them a below average bench player. This pretty much makes it impossible to be the best team, which sucks.

You guessed right, Wade is gone. I'm thinking about trading CP3 to get a center around 90, and one or two draft picks. Then, I might trade a pick and a decent bench player to get a PG around 85. It would make my team more balanced, and I would have another option to go to. A person I might want to trade CP3 for is Yao, a draft pick and maybe I can squeeze out an above average bench player.

November 16, 200817 yr Right now, I think I'm at -$6 million, so I'll have to trade even salaries. I'm pretty sure Yao makes $14 million, so the salaries would almost be even.
December 7, 200817 yr I want this game so bad im stuck to playing 2k8 Im dying to know what the 08 Draft class Players are rated EX Rose Beasley Love OJ Mayo Lopez etc Can someone please tell me
December 26, 200817 yr I want this game so bad im stuck to playing 2k8 Im dying to know what the 08 Draft class Players are rated EX Rose Beasley Love OJ Mayo Lopez etc Can someone please tell me rose - 80 beasley - 83 mayo - 82 westbrook - 76 love - 80 gallinari - 76 gordon - 77 alexander - 74 augustin - 77 lopez - 74 bayless - 78 thompson - 74 so did you get the game for christmas. i'm almost done with my first season with the sacramento kings. my team is totally badass. i made some more tweaks to my roster and here is what decided to go with: PG - Devin Harris/Rodney Stuckey/Dee Brown (IR) SG - Joe Johnson/John Salmons/Francisco Garcia/Hassan Adams (IR) SF - Peja Stojakovic/Linas Kleiza/Nicolas Batum (IR) PF - Tim Duncan/Paul Millsap/Chris Anderson C - Spencer Hawes/Jason Thompson i think it's a good combination of inside and perimeter scoring and young players that i can control for a while.
December 26, 200817 yr Yea i got it its sick they got almost everything down I Got my Assosiation started with the Heat, in my 1st 3 games i was outrebounded by 45 so i really need a center but a young one

Why do you not have Super Mario I got Lebron in free agency. Wade accepted his player option. I traded Mario Chalmers early on to get that first round pick that landed me a beast PG Marsh who has been crazy good (I love Chalmers though). Haslem refused to return when i didn't give him much playing time. I had to get some of my Gator fanhood on the team, bringing in both Horford and Brewer
December 27, 200817 yr BTW what is the difference between association and franchise? I haven't played franchise tbh
December 27, 200817 yr My bad its assosiation and season and the difference is one is being a gm and going through everything like getting emails and NBA.com, chemistry, serious contracts etc, season is just playing with a team game by game all you have to do is play and resign or draft I don't think there are any young talented players from UM in the NBA

LOL
December 27, 200817 yr yo MP, do you play every game on the 82 game schedule? I use sim mostly, I tried to play every game for MLB 2k5 and it made me go crazy.
December 27, 200817 yr MarlinsPride what's your heat roster. you usually make better teams than me but this time i'm stacked with duncan, harris, and joe johnson
