November 1, 200322 yr Marlins golf tourney on Monday MIAMI -- The Florida Marlins and the Miccosukee Golf and Country Club will host the Marlins Celebrity Classic on Monday. The tournament will benefit the Florida Marlins Community Foundation and will take place at the Miccosukee Golf and Country Club in Miami. Golf begins with a shotgun start at 11:30 a.m. ET and ends with a dinner and awards presentation after the conclusion of the tournament. Some of the personalities scheduled to participate are: the Marlins' Jeff Conine, Pudge Rodriguez, Carl Pavano, Lenny Harris, Jason Grilli, Kevin Hooper, Ozzie Guillen, Wayne Rosenthal, president David Samson and general manager Admin Beinfest; Hall of Famer Tony Perez; current Major League player Bobby Abreu; former Major League players Dennis Martinez, Tim Raines, Reid Cornelius, and Jim Leyritz; former Miami Dolphins players Don McNeal, Jim Jensen and Eric Laakso; UM baseball coach Jim Morris; former UM baseball coach Ron Fraser; and Marlins broadcasters Len Kasper, Tommy Hutton, Cookie Rojas, Dave Van Horne and Jon "Boog" Sciambi. The Florida Marlins Community Foundation is a proud supporter of Adopt-A-Classroom, the Daily Bread Food Bank, the Camillus House shelter, S.O.S. Children's Village, the South Florida Blood Banks, the Hispanic Scholarship Fund, the Humane Society and many more South Florida charitable organizations.
