Trade Help

Featured Replies

I give Adrian Gonzalez, I get Jermaine Dye and John Danks.

good or no?

I also have Lance Berkman as a 1B. I was going to use Gonzalez as UTIL

Obviously it depends on what other outfielders and pitchers you have.

But I may be slightly tempted to lean towards keeping Gonzalez. He has had 2 or 3 really productive years now as the Padres main bat. Dye on the other hand is getting on in years and is becoming more susceptible to injuries. If you are really short on pitching tho, Danks could be a missing link you are after. Strong 2008 and should progress even more in 2009, however there is a slight risk in that he has had a bad year and a good year in the majors so theres always the chance he slips back to his old ways.

Meanwhile I have a cracking trade which has already been accepted in one of my leagues:

I get Jake Peavy. I give Ricky Nolasco and Oliver Perez.

Dont want to trade Ricky but for someone like Peavy theres no doubts about it. I also have JJ and can pick up Volstad off the FA list to still have a strong Marlins contingent on my team.

I wouldn't trade Ricky either. He's too vital.

I have already traded him. Ricky is great but the fact is Peavy is still possibly the best pitcher in the NL
