NOLA - AAA

Pretty much everyone sucks. Sinkbiel has a 2.37 whip. I refuse to put anything else for him. Trahern is hurt so we'll hope he comes back eventually and finishes the year strong. Hensley, the new guy, stinks too with a 1.80 whip in AAA. Koronka, Barone, and Collazo have 1.35-1.50 whips and relatively no Ks. Awful.

First, Vanden Hurk. He came back, threw 5 innings, whiffed 8, and gave up 3 hits. No walks. Hopefully he continues that success for a month or two, and becomes a fixture on the team soon there after in either a starting or relieving role.

Second, some fringe RP. Field throws hard and could be another Joe Nelson of a guy bouncing around the minors forever and eventually making it. Mobley has to work a bit harder but he's always been a favorite of mine because of historical groundball rates. This is pretty decent depth in AAA.

Nate Field - 24 IP, 3.00 era, 1.00 WHIP (16 H, 8 BB), 30K, 1 HR

Chris Mobley - 15.1 IP, 1.76 whip (15 H, 3 BB), 16K, 0 HR

The remaining AAA depth - Badenhop and Sanches - are proving useful in the majors. Tucker is still on the DL, not sure of the timetable.

JAX - AA

Thompson - 53.2 IP, 5.03 era, 1.66 whip (66 H, 23 BB), 34 K

He's still kind of young so there is hope, but this may be the beginning of the end of him being a legit starting prospect. We can keep him a starter longer as no one really needs the innings in AA, but if things don't start improving might be time to see if he wants to be a LOOGY.

West - 42.2 IP, 4.95 era, 1.55 whip (44 H, 22 BB), 50 K, 9 HR

One of the weirdest lines ever. He's looked good 2 starts in the big, but with all those hits, homers, and general control problems with the walks, West is looking like another year in the minors more than likely. He's going to be good, but he's not ready for consistent work in the big leagues.

Taylor - 37.1 IP, 4.10 era, 1.50 whip (36 H, 20 BB), 2 HR, 22K

He's going to be living in AA/AAA for the next 3 years and we'll see if his finesse ability turns into a swingman. I think everyone understands who Graham is at this point. He's going to be our Jeremy Sowers. If we're lucky.

Kyle Winters - 27 IP, 4.33 era, 1.41 whip (30 H, 8 BB), 0 HR, 21 K

Destroyed Jupiter, up in Jax and that is his first 5 starts. Learning curve to AA is tough, but Winters is not a blazer so he has to work at getting guys out too. He gets some groundballs which is nice, but this is probably a future 4 if everything goes right, but more than likely 4th or 5th RHP in the bullpen material. He's a nice organizational arm, but not of above average quality like a West, Vanden Hurk, or Tucker.

Jarret Santos - 26 IP, .69 era, .54 whip (9 H, 5 BB), 16 K.

A bit old, but those are silly numbers

Chris Leroux - 23.1 IP, 5.40 era, 1.54 whip (28 H, 8 BB), 17 K

Big arm, maybe you caught his appearance in the bigs. I'm not very deterred by his initial numbers in AA, but I expect a better second half. He's one of our top 10 arms at the moment, and we can develop him slowly if needed over the next 2 1/2 seasons in AA/AAA

DL - Ceda, no idea where he is

JUP - A+

Sanabia - 51.1 IP, 1.58 era, .92 whip (37 H, 10 BB), 39 K, 2 HR

Say hello to our # 2 SP prospect. Breakout year in full effect. He has a plus fastball, and just needs to harness the changeup and breaking pitches like every other young pitcher to take that step to the bigs. He'll be in Jupiter all year, and yes it is a pitchers environment, but those are still wicked numbers. Very exciting. This is our breakout star of the farm system of the year.

Allison - 48.2 IP, 3.33 era, 1.17 whip (46 H, 11 BB), 27 K, 5 HR

Decent line, but he's not the same pitcher as when we drafted him. Lost some velocity. Maybe he gets up to AA this year and can turn himself into a reliever eventually, but he won't be a starter longterm. He's a longshot prospect at best at this point.

Harvey - 29.2 IP, 3.34 era, 1.25 whip (21 H, 16 BB), 26 K, 0 HR

This is a great story. He's having a really nice year for his first year as a full time pitcher. He is definitely starting to turn himself into a real prospect. Once those walks come down, this could be a pretty scary RP.

Steve Cishek - 28 IP, 1.93 era, .86 whip (17 H, 7 BB), 24K

Andrew Battisto - 23 IP, 3.13 era, .91 whip (16 H, 6 BB), 30K

Jose Rosario - 23 IP, .78 era, . 78 whip (12 H, 6 BB), 25K

Jupiter is kind to pitchers. We'll track and follow these guys, but nothing crazy to write about yet.

GREENSBORO - A

Kaminska - 53 IP, 4.58 era, 1.47 whip (61 H, 17 BB), 49 K, 5 HR

Not a very good May, but I still like his arm. I'm hoping for a Sanabia type breakout over the second half of the year.

Hand - 39.1 IP, 7.32 era, 1.86 whip (45 H, 28 BB), 36 K, 5 HR

May - 30.1 IP, 4.15 era, 1.38 whip (28 H, 14 BB), 22 K, 2 HR

Settled down a bit in May. Hope to see that continue.

Andrelczyk - 25.2 IP, 1.05 era, .97 whip (21 H, 4 BB), 44 K, 1 HR

Stupid. He'll be in Jupiter by July if this keeps up.

Some other guys are doing some alright stuff, like Dorn and Jennings, but Im to tired to add a few more stat lines. But they are track and follow guys, not a core prospect. This update should be adequate to see how the top arms at each level are doing.

I saw Leroux appearance in the bigs. I liked his arm mid to high 90's.

Id really like to know what Ceda's fat self is doing. He was in terrible shape when ST started.
