Why do they always drop the bat?

Featured Replies

Yes, it goes without saying that a player would be suspended for a long time if not expelled. But how does a player consider that or even think about it in the heat of the moment when they're about to charge the mound.

Haha you're right but it's not expelled it's banned.(I thought expelled at 1st to).

Some players just do what you said they react in the heat of the moment, some do the right thing and just yell out in frustration and some do what Youkillis did and try to take the frustration out on the pitcher.

I hate it when they batter throws their helmet. That sh*t's cowardly. You wanna go mano a mano? Don't use a helmet as a weapon.

Maybe that's it. Its a manhood thing and not a revenge thing.

Taking a weapon to fight is about the least manly thing you can do but when Porcello hit Youk it was a payback shot from when Boston hit Miguey in the hand and Youk has shown a temper while playing before and his initial reaction was that he was f***ing pissed and he charged.

But look how that turned out for him, he threw his helmet like a bitch and ended up on the ground in a headlock and got suspended 5 games when his team is in a race for the playoffs all for one pitch that hit him in the back.

That's what I meant. They drop the bat because its about manhood and not revenge.
