These are the results of a draft for a H2H league I'm in.

C Victor Martinez

1B Lance Berkman

2B Dustin Pedroia

3B Gordon Beckham

SS Hanley Ramirez

OF Jayson Werth

OF Jason Kubel

OF Michael Cuddyer

UTIL Rajai Davis

BN Nyjer Morgan

BN J.D. Drew

BN Nick Johnson

BN Scott Rolen

SP Josh Johnson

SP Cliff Lee

RP Heath Bell

RP Jose Valverde

P Edwin Jackson

P Frank Francisco

P Rich Harden

BN Ted Lilly

The only downside is that there is a good amount of injury risk on the team. But otherwise, I think the draft went pretty well.

As far as league scoring, the batters stat categories are:

Runs ®

Home Runs (HR)

Runs Batted In (RBI)

Stolen Bases (SB)

Strikeouts (K)

Batting Average (AVG)

On-base + Slugging Percentage (OPS)

The pitchers stat categories are:

Wins (W)

Saves (SV)

Walks (BB)

Strikeouts (K)

Earned Run Average (ERA)

(Walks + Hits)/ Innings Pitched (WHIP)

Inherited Runners Scored (IRA)

nice. how many people in your league??

i got screwed in my league because i got the 8th pick (out of 12) which sucks because you're right in the middle of the pack.

It is a 12 team league. I lucked out and got the first pick in the draft (then the 24th & 25th, and so on). You can probably guess which player I took with the first pick.

yeah, lucky. hanley got picked 3rd in my draft and i tried to swing a trade but got shut down immediately. i currently trying to trade brandon phillips and alex rios for matt kemp and howie kendrick.

I did a draft last week on CBS. It is a 10 team league, and I got the 6th pick, however only 4/10 were live in the draft so I ended up with the best team I've ever drafted.

It is as follows (honestly!):

C Matt Wieters

1B Miguel Cabrera

2B Ian Kinsler

3B David Wright

SS Hanley Ramirez

OF Matt Kemp

OF Justin Upton

OF Carl Crawford

U Nelson Cruz

SP Yovani Gallardo

SP John Lackey

SP Clayton Kershaw

SP Brandon Webb

SP Dice-K Matsuzaka

RP Joe Nathan

RP Francisco Rodriguez

B Vernon Wells

B Ryan Ludwick

B Ben Sheets

B David Price

B Rich Harden

Very nice squad you have there.

As far as my team goes, I opted to put Ted Lilly and Rich Harden on waivers and pick up Kerry Wood and Brad Lidge out of the FA pool. I'm doing this because I realized that with only a 7 IP per week pitching requirement, it is much smarter to go with mainly closers. I'll lose out on the wins and strikeout categories probably every week, but I should (hopefully) win out on the other categories.

Other closers still available in my league's FA pool are Kevin Gregg and Matt Capps.

this is my team currently:

C - Posada

1B - Dunn

2B - Phillips

3B - Youkilis

SS - Yunel Escobar

DH - Ortiz

OF - Justin Upton

OF - Braun

OF - Rios

BN - Fowler

BN - Milton Bradley

BN - Cuddyer

BN - Berkman

SP - Felix Hernandez

SP - Carpenter

SP - Peavy

RP - Francisco Cordero

i'm still trying to pry away matt kemp from someone

dude i offered this guy in my league braun, carpenter, and yunel escobar for hanley, haren, and hawpe (or nelson cruz or mcclouth) and he seriously counter offered with hanley, jurrjens, hawpe, and nelson cruz for braun, carpenter, justin upton, and yunel escobar. i just shook my head and walked away from the computer

so after about a week of negotiations with this guy and standing my ground on the demands he finally gave in and traded me hanley, haren, and hawpe for braun, carpenter, and yunel escobar.

Last night I had the draft for my money league and I'm happy with how it turned out. All the teams are pretty solid since only 8 signed up this year because of economics, but this team is a winner. I got:

3B Mark Reynolds

SS Hanley Ramirez

CI Kendry Morales

MI Rickie Weeks

OF Jacoby Ellsbury

You can win two ways - H2H and overall statistics over the course of the season in...

Batters Stat Categories:

Runs ®

Home Runs (HR)

Runs Batted In (RBI)

Stolen Bases (SB)

Batting Average (AVG)

On-base Percentage (OBP)

Pitchers Stat Categories:

Wins (W)

Saves (SV)

Strikeouts (K)

Earned Run Average (ERA)

(Walks + Hits)/ Innings Pitched (WHIP)

On-base Percentage Against (OBPA)

I went realitively heavy on closers compared to other teams in the league as I think it'll pay off in the long run in most of the pitcher categories - namely saves, ERA, WHIP, and OBPA. Also, you only need a minimum of 25 innings pitched per week for the stats to qualify.

I think it'll be a good season.

10 teams, 6x6 (Money League)

Offense- AVG, OBP, HR, RBI, R, SB

Pitching- W, QS, ERA, WHIP, K, SV

Any thoughts? I think my pitching is pretty unbeatable on paper but also kind of injury prone. My hitting also has quite a bit of potential as well.
