March 21, 201015 yr Author Damn, he's REALLY good. Since he became a relieve in 2003, he had an ERA under 3 in all 7 of his seasons. 5/7 he had an ERA of 2.10 or below. 4 out of the last 7 seasons he had an ERA below 1.90. The last 5 seasons, his K/BB has been > 4 every year. For 5 of the last 6 years, his WHIP has been below 1. So good, so consistent. They seem to be very confident of his recovery, but he is 35 years old, so it's hard to know how this will play out. Good luck to him.
March 21, 201015 yr This could have a serious impact on both the AL Central race and fantasy leagues. Might have to start looking at closers a round or two earlier now. You have to think the Twins are looking to make a trade for a closer. It said on MLBTR that they have interest in Heath Bell and Jason Frasor.
March 21, 201015 yr Nathan is definately up there with Rivera and Papelbon among the elite closers of today and this will be a huge blow for the Twins. He hopes to be back for Opening Day 2011 and good luck to him.
