Should we pursue Hank Blalock?

I know I looked at his declining numbers in Tampa Bay a few weeks ago when talk of his eventual release first surfaced and without going through it again my memory was as he played less and less his offensive numbers suffered disproportionately to his playing time. And even when picking up a full game here or there he seemed to be trending down. *This could be perception more than reality, I'd have to go back and really go through it all again*.

When you combine that with his minimal playing time in the field and the fact it's been three or four years since he played third base with any regularity (given that the last place we need another glove is first base if we can't find room for LoMo already) I wonder if there's a fit there for the team?

If I had a choice between Blalock and Lamb I guess I would go with Blalock just because of his history, but I'm not sure there aren't other options for the Marlins to consider, and keep in mind Morrison, if he does come up, is another everyday lefty in the lineup, something the Fish can surely use. I guess I'm saying I wouldn't be upset if he came aboard as a bench player but I'm not holding my breath waiting for it to happen.
