hitter's parks vs. pitcher's parks

Featured Replies

I've been thinking a lot lately about what kind of teams would do better in major hitters parks and what kind of teams would do better in major pitcher's parks.

After thinking about it, it comes down to the bullpen. A team with a better bullpen would be better suited to a Coors Field or Minute Maid park. The starting pitchers will last a lot shorter so it will come down to who has the better bullpen. A team with a weak bullpen would want a park like Pac Bell or Pro Player where it's starters can go 7 innings on a regular basis.

I don't think playing in a major pitcher's park will hurt or help a team regarding strength of lineup vs. strength of hitting, much. Although if it was a team with a strong offense and no pitching i would think they would do better in a pitchers park and a team with no offense and strong pitching would do better in a Coors.

What do you all think?
