November 22, 200322 yr We have been reading various reports that stated the Yankees wont chase after Vlad just so they can drive his price up. Also, there had been reports that Vlad doesnt want to sign for a big market team like NY where he would be under pressure all the time. Doesnt feel comfortable with that. But on PTI, they cracked it into reality when they said that the Yankees would not pursue Vlad because he would be 'too expensive'. With an endorsement like that from the Yankees, coupled with the Manny Ramirez fiasco, this definetly seems to be a buyers market. Pudge better take that 2 year, $15MM deal. That seems to be very high at this point.

November 22, 200322 yr This does not surprise me. I would say that the front runners for Vlad at this point could be Anaheim and Baltimore. They have been predicted as the biggest spenders, and the Angels have already started to open up their wallet. I can't see another team with the cash to spend on him.

Seems like Anaheim would present the best choice for Vlad out of those 2.
November 22, 200322 yr Author I feel like we are contenders in the Vlad Sweeps. I know rationally, that should not be the case. And I have tried to remove this thought from my mind - that Vlad could very well be a Marlin next season - but I just cant for some reason. Help me? :blink:
