November 25, 200322 yr Is he a free agent or not or what's up with him? It doesn't seem to me like he's a free agent but when people were making lists earlier in the year they included him.
November 25, 200322 yr he'd be a free agent after next season. he's eligible for arbitration this year, and is due a hefty raise if/when it comes down to arby.
November 25, 200322 yr All arbitration-eligible players are 'potential free agents,' that is if their team does not tender them a contract offer to accept or take to an arbitrator. If a team does not, the team suspends their right to offer a contract to said player until May, and the player becomes a free agent and the team that signs him does not need to offer a compensation draft pick to his former club.
