I'm trying to get drum covers on youtube so that I can better audition myself for bands in my area without having to travel and prove my worth there [saves a lot of time], but I don't have a camera that can record anything more than about 3 minutes, and that's if I'm lucky [it's a digital picture camera]. At the same time, I'm also strapped for cash, so if anyone knows any lower-priced decent quality video cameras, could you perhaps show me one with maybe a few reviews?

Get a tripod and a Flip Ultra HD. It's what I have, and when I go concert going, I use it.

 

Notes

- The picture quality isn't the greatest, it's merely average. But I got it strictly for recording concerts. It is top of the line for a camcorder in sound quality. Sounds to me like you need one for sound quality most.

- The cost is $150 for one of these new. Who knows what you can get on eBay or Amazon refurb'd.

- The battery life is great, and you can shoot up to 2 hours worth of video space.

- You can use the rechargeable battery pack, or you can use AA batteries.

- No wires required, it has a USB plug built in so you can plug the camcorder straight into your computer.

- It works like a high speed storage device, so you can transfer files in and out of it.

- It's simple, it has a built in program for simple cropping/editing when you plug it in.

- Records in 720p HD.
