December 1, 200322 yr What if baseball moved a team back into Brooklyn? NY is big enough to handle 3 teams, and Brooklyners loved the Dodgers. This could splinter the Yankees market even more, and bring them a bit closer to mortality. Thoughts?
December 1, 200322 yr NO! the league wouldn't allow it, the mets and yankees won't have it, MLB cannot support any new franchises, and personally it'd piss me off if they gave THREE teams to new york. if we want to bring the yankees back to mortality, we should step up the luxury tax. that'd be much more feasible. even a salary cap would have a better chance of being approved than the addition of a third NY franchise.
December 1, 200322 yr Author I'm not talking about expansion, but relocating an existing team. New York used to have the Dodgers, Giants and Yankees.
December 1, 200322 yr 2010 WORLD SERIES: BROOKLYN MARLINS 4 NY YANKEES 1 (I'll give 'em one win) MVP: Miguel Cabrera Manager of the Year: Jeff Conine (Brooklyn) :w00t :w00t :w00t

Agree 100%. Lower the soft-cap limit and up the Luxury tax. WTF is this about LA losing their team?

The only way I see that happening is if the A's moved to LA. But it's not likely. Obviously, the one team on the move right now is Montreal.
