I'd prefer to have: Beckett Burnett Penny Willis Pavano But maybe the FO has concluded that Burnett's arm cannot handle starting, so thats why him moving to closer was brought up. But Redman/Pavano/Penny's 3MM might just put us over the hump to sign Vlad.

I once dismissed this as impossible, but every paper in South Florida is not just speculating that we should go after him, they're saying that we will go after him. If it means that Vlad is the only person we add, I don't want to make the move, but if Loria finds some more "special money" which I'm sure he would in this case, then this could be the on-field deal that gets us serious respect (new stadium) off the field. :mischief2
