Not the biggest Otto Lopez fan but he was one of our better, and steadier, players last year and gave us pretty solid defense consistently. His numbers aren't gaudy but he has earned his starting spot for the time being. Sanoja is one of my favorite players and should be all over the diamond. His versatility is a plus and he will only be 22 all season long. He could do some shuttling between Miami and Jacksonville but here is hoping he gets enough ABs to show if he can be a future difference maker.

Ronny Simon was a good depth signing and will probably end up in Miami at some point. He's more a 4-A player and doesn't have the plate discipline of Sanoja but has a bit of pop in his bat. He's still relatively young and is an upgrade from Brujan at the plate if not the field.

The future projections have Gage Miller as our best second base prospect. However, there are about 20 middle infielders and some of them could move from shortstop to second base. Carter Johnson is likely the best for the bunch. Xavier Edwards defensive limitations may eventually move him from SS to 2B as well.
