Joe Mack sitting

Featured Replies

Why does Clayton McCullough keep sitting Joe Mack against lefties? The guy is knocking the cover off the ball - let him play! He's hitting 0.226 against lefties and 0.264 against righties. However, if he had two more stupid singles against lefties he'd be 9 for 31 instead of 7 for 31 against them, and he'd be hitting 0.290 against lefties and 0.264 against righties. It seems like every manager if micromanaging these days. Joe Mack deserves to play much more than he's playing.

He's a catcher, so he isn't going to play everyday anyway. Might as well sit him against lefties for now. McCullough will give him reps against lefties as he gets more experience. For now, he's killing it in his role, so I'm fine with it.
