"Depending on the version of the Bible you use, there are as many as 40 passages that refer to nudity," said Bill Martin, co-founder of Natura, which will be the first Christianity-themed nudist colony in the country when it opens in a Tampa suburb in April. "In (the Bible book of) Isaiah 20.2, God tells Isaiah to go into the wilderness naked for three years. So there's historical basis for a Christian nudist lifestyle," continued Martin, who is a Quaker. When Natura is completed, the 240-acre resort area will have 500 homes, a hotel, a water-slide park, and a non-denominational Christian church. Although nudity will be mandatory, attending church services will be clothing-optional for residents, according to Martin. Followers of the Baptist, Catholic, Jehovah's Witnesses, Mennonites, and Quaker religions are some of the different Christian denominations who will call Natura home. "Fundamentalist Christians and the Southern Baptists may object to us, but I will meet with them anytime to talk about both Natura and nudity," said Martin. "It's funny that some Southern Baptists oppose us, because for about the first 500 years after the death of Christ, mass baptisms were done nude."
January 23, 200422 yr the bible also mentions permiscuous sex, stuff blowing up, god killing people, and a lot of things that really don't justify building a christian nudist colony any more than a christian laser tag, christian bomb testing facility, and ect.

January 24, 200422 yr If i'm not mistaken the JW's believe in a select few who will reach heaven or salvation or whatever they call it. Also, many do not celebrate Christmas. I could be wrong but i don't consider JW's or LDS' Christianity. There are many other things that make it different from Christianity but i can't think of them right know. Maybe i'm mistaken and if so correct me.
January 24, 200422 yr well the belief is 144,000 selected ones will go to heaven as soon as they die to govern with jesus. once judgement day comes those that are judged to be faithful and good (i know many people get offended at this) will survive armageddon and live for eternity here on earth surrounded by peace. during the 1st 1000 years humans make the transition from imperfect to physical perfection and the dead are ressurected. at the end of the 1000 years jesus hands over the reigns to God (Jehova). about Christmas, well it doesnt say anywhere in the Bible that Jesus was born on the 25th of December.

I've never understood the 144,000 thing but o well. Seems like 144,000 is not many. It is an interesting religion but i don't like people coming to my door preachin their religion to me.
January 24, 200422 yr nope, no celebration of his birth. but his death is remembered every year your confused about the 144,000, those arent the only people that live in peace. they're just the ones that are chosen to govern with jesus, that is confusing, ive never understood how that happen but it happens and im sure these are the people that eat the bread and wine at jesus' memorial. but if your not one of the 144,000, that doesnt mean your going to die. if you survive judgement day and your not one of them than youll live on a peaceful earth forever. i get what your saying about the people knocking on your door, if you dont like it just tell them never to visit again and they probably never will.

January 24, 200422 yr i'm guessing that you grew up in a jw household, 02pac. and yes, they are christians. yeah i grew up in one, i still hold the beliefs and trying to get things together though. no minus, its not a cult. how is it a cult? there's no "special" kool-aid to drink, no weird rituals, no worshipping of a stuffed dog (that episode of the wayans was crazy :lol ), no space ship coming with a comet like those crazy motherf***ers that killed themselves about 7 years. if you lose faith after a while, your free to stop going to the meetings or do whatever you want. if you stop going no one is going to go after to you to demand you go back, theres not even a membership fee. its all on you so how is it a cult?
January 24, 200422 yr As an outside observer, no christian should accuse anyone else of taking part in a "cult" when their religion is very cultist. You pray to a god that is three and three gods that are one, pray to a man who rose from the dead and had superhuman powers, believe in divine revelations...how is this not cult related? Okay, maybe the jehova's whitnesses knock on your door, but if you say "not interested", that's the end of that. I think a saying goes like this: All religions are cults, they're just a lot bigger.
