tonight, one of the greatest rivalries in ncaa bball resumes when State travels to Chapel Hill to play UNC (ESPN, 9pm)

 

this should be an interesting ACC game, because this is the original tobacco road rivalry. now, when you think of tobacco road you think UNC-Duke, but this game was the first rivalry on tobacco road

 

i know ncsu is ready (this is their most important rivalry) but it will be interesting to see if unc prepares well for this game or is overlooking this game and getting ready for their game against the dookies (in 8 days)

I guarantee you they don't overlook this game. They still have to play clemson before they play duke and Roy wouldn't let them be thinking about a game that far down the schedule. Plus its a home game and Dean Dome will be rockin baby. Mr. Vitale's gonna be there. They need to win this one.

great defense, esp in the 2nd half. one thing id like to see is byron sanders develop and become a legit backup to give may some rest

They haven't shown to me that they can win on the road and they may be looking ahead to duke. This game against clemson is actually very big in my opinion because they need to prove that they can win on the road this year. Even though Clemson isn't very good they could definitely pull the upset. Also, in the ACC you have to win the games that are winnable in order to have a shot at the title or a top 3 finish in conference. They need to beat clemson.

there are no easy games in the great acc. clemson is one of those games you must have. the strategy in the acc this yr seems to be win all your home games and steal a few on the road-thats shows how tough opposing crowds can be in the acc. unc has done that well enough to be top 3, but they must win on the road
