February 26, 200422 yr Author Great post jonny, you hit the nail on the head. Just wait until you read Berardino's column in today's Sun-Sentinel regarding "Brandon" (a little Bobby Valenine humor there) Looper and shots at the FO and "bandwagon" Marlins fans.
February 26, 200422 yr Great post jonny, you hit the nail on the head. Just wait until you read Berardino's column in today's Sun-Sentinel regarding "Brandon" (a little Bobby Valenine humor there) Looper and shots at the FO and "bandwagon" Marlins fans. Thanks. I think people are getting ridiculous with this salary cap BS. Oh, I didnt read it because it was about Looper. But seeing that it is about Loop, I am sure he took the opportunity to spin this negatively on the Marlins FO. I still dont get why he was so pro-Torborg. I didnt agree with the move at the time either, but clearly I was wrong. Why cant Berardino just admit it...?
February 26, 200422 yr Author I won't bother you with the whole column but here's a taste - "Because memories tend to cloud over and because the Marlins lead the league in bandwagon fans..." When it comes to Marlins player personnel and the FO Mike is clearly on the outside looking in. Since the Torborg firing and his derisive comments following that event he's become persona non grata on the field and upstairs. Both sides are losers as long as this feud continues and eventually I believe Mike will move on to cover another baseball franchise in another city.
February 26, 200422 yr Didn't Looper start to implode in July? 3.68 overall. 4.96 and 7-for-9 in July, 4.36 and 4-4 in August, 6.97 and 3-5 in September.
February 26, 200422 yr Wow. I must have skipped past that the first time. He actually use the bandwagon word. Well, it's not the first time, but sheesh. He must be upset he hasn't been offered a job somewhere else.
