SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) -- The Florida Panthers acquired right wing Ty Jones from the Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday in exchange for future considerations.

Jones, the Blackhawks' first round pick in 1997, has appeared in 37 games with Norfolk of the AHL this season, registering four goals, five assists and 93 penalty minutes.

He has played in eight games with the Blackhawks, scoring no points and recording 12 penalty minutes.

Haven't heard much about him.....anyone know anything concerning him?

Huge bust...was supposed to be a huge power forward in the mold of Tkachuk when drafted...he has a lot of skill but no desire whatsoever. Huge, good skater, good hands and a great fighter, but never uses his physical ability. It's strictly a move for the Rampage at this point, they have been awful since all of their players have been recalled to FLA ( Beaudoin, Kolnik, Green, etc.)
