ive been watching both U and grant play all year, and ive gotta say that udonis should be starting over brian

 

case and point: saturday. grant started, played 18 minutes, picked up a few fouls, scored zero. meanwhile, haslem came off the bench, played center most of the 4th and got to the line every time he took it to the hoop

 

it would be a smart move for the heat to either move haslem to the starting center spot or have him start in a lineup with 3 forwards and 2 guards

 

thoughts?

I just don't see Haslem starting.

 

Brian's a better defender, he's taller, and stronger than Haslem, and also more experienced.

 

I know Van Gundy isn't gonna alter the starting lineup unless there's an injury because the Heat have a very good record with the starting lineup of Wade (well when he's healthy), Jones, Butler, Odom and Grant.

 

So if you have your heart set on Udonis starting, don't count on it.

yea things r fine the way they are now. even though haslem is better on the offensive end, grant is just more experienced at defending in the post. haslem needs more exp then we can trade grant. and i like what he brings off the bench.

I'm sure if they could unload Grant and his enromous contract they would even if they had no suitable replacement for this year.

 

But see the problem is no one wants to pay a PF 15mil for 8.9ppg and 7.3rbg.

WHO THE HELL IS GOING TO BENCH A PLAYER THAT MAKES 12 MILL A YEAR. SO THEN YOU SAY TRADE HIM RIGHT. WHO IS GONNA TAKE ON A CONTRACT FOR A GUY THAT MAKES 12 MILL TO PROUDICE 8 PTS AND 7 REBS A GAME FOR YOU. ALTHOUGH BRIAN HAS SHOWN THAT HE IS A GOOD DEFENDER, GRANT WAS A BIG f*** UP BY THE HEAT FRONT OFFICE.
