Everybody who goes to the town meeting, let's pass out some sort of flyer for our own independent group meeting to dicuss options. I will produce flyers if everybody likes. We have to discuss what we can do as we have sizeable investments in the marlins (myself over $4600 next year) and we have a right to decide, whether Loria and evil midget like it or not, to help decide the destiny of the Marlins or GIVE US OUR MONEY BACK!!!!! The team is GUTTED! we can't do anything about that but collectively we can at least try and make our case for what WE THE FANS actually want to happen. Please. Everybody. We have to be visible right now or we will lose the Marlins.

Look at how well AJ handles under pressure and realise that a lot of that was caused by costantly losing in those early years. It can and will destroy a young player's confidence by constnatly losing. Only a very strong willed individual will not let it affect him. Loria and Samon et al. will destroy all that young talent and not give a damn about it as long as they cash in somewhere else and kill baseball in south floirida in the process. Damn you Loria. Never in my 37 years of being a sports fan has this ever been truer!!!!! I really do wish to undertsand hoiw in the HELL (that is the hell we are in right now!) this can be justified. As a major league owner take your freakin lumps or sell the team. MLB has to step in it simply HAS TO!!!!! if not then MLB is more corrupt than Pete Rose betting on baseball ever was. To Allow an owner to FLAGRANTLY allow his side to not have a chance to compete should mean forfeit of ALL REVENUE SHARING!!!! amd a hefty fine for breaking those rulse. But what does Bud Selig and the rest of his cronies do?. They're quieter than a yankees fan at the end of a certain october night in 2003!!!!! Please, somebody, even God (divine intervention mate?!!!). do somehting this is excruciating!!!!!!! Why are the Fans in Florida so fickle? So what if there is a fire sale...SO effing WHAT! If you were truly a baseball fan and if SouthFLA was truly a baseball town then the FANS would step up NOW more than ever and support the team. Show the politicians and MLB what they are missing out on. Support the Marlins no matter how bad you think they are!. But there is no effing way SouthFLA fans are going to do that (and I don't mean you guys) . Bottom line is without a winner fans just don;t go to games in SouthFLA... I mean c'mon.... 60k+ show up for the Marlins when they are in the playoffs or WS and yea I know the problems the team has are more than just fan support. But if the people of SouthFLA truly wanted to keep their team here simply showing up might actually do just that!! No instead you're going to bitch and moan about the owner or about the city... Boycotting the team is not the answer! Please tell me what the answer is when we ARE THE VERY PEOPLE ALREADY SHOWING UP! We do need to collectively do something to show that we still want the team and to show our distaste at MLB and the city to allow this travesty to happen yet again! Maybe Alex Penelas(who also depserately needs to raise his visibility) can grandstand on the issue and rally people to some form of protest. We need a public figure to help whoever that is I don't care who it is as long as they can help us keep our baseball team in some way.

Please Jeff overlook your hate for Arriola and sell the team. If you truly love the baseball fans here in south florida as you said you did, (The season ticket holders who have invested in you), please sell the team. I along with with many many marlins fans will be forever greatful for that magical season in 03 that I will always treasure but THIS IS KILLING THE FANS WHO LOVE THE TEAM THE MOST!!!!!!! IF you walk away now, you will barely excape the hatred but will still be more higly regarded than wayne huizenga. Yo carry on with this and you will be the most reviled sports figure in the history of Florida and you will deserve it. Hi My Very first post but longtime reader and Marlin fan. We bought two full season tickets section 245 row 10. I sat there for a sec at fanfest. the view is great. I usually sat in club A section for the air but being this close will be fantastic. Oh and (cant resist). Pudge, on your way to Detroit. Don't forget to pack your fudge!
