Fish of the First Half
The fish of the first half is Stanton and alvarez. in the second half I think we are going to see big things from Salty and Mcgee will start hitting bombs like he is capable but the average will go down. I expect Mcgee to be with a .280 average and about 25 homeruns at the end of the year which would be awesome cause I didn't expect nothing from him. Salty will end up around 250 or 260 with about 20 or 25 homers also which is such a HUGE difference from the caca we had at catcher last year. 3rd base and catcher were really upgraded this year big time. nice surprise for me at least.

I am worried about Stanton in the All Stars game.
Hanley's last year and this year disagrees with you pal no Hanley only played half the season last year. And this year he only has 11 homeruns and is batting 275... Marcell Ozuna is having a better year then him.... That is not the player he was before. That is not the numbers of the games best player. Not at all. He is average now. That's my point. And we already talked about Uggla. Look it up if you don't believe me. I'm not making up this.

It IS over thinking. First of all, every player is different. Can't compare Hanley to Uggla to Stanton. Second, you can't name all the players that have had problems with the home run derby and then exclude all the ones that haven't. It's a cool story bro, but it's nonsense. It is well documented and proven that the home run contest causes a player to have a bad second half. If someone does good in the second half then it is not the normal case. it is a hitting coaches worst nightmare coming true when he sees his player in the batter box in the contest. trust me.

Braves Looking to RELEASE Uggla, come on dooooooown.
I didn't feel like he was THAT bad when he was here, but I guess I was wrong. Not hard to believe he's been that bad, though. Uggla was not that bad when he was here. You are right about that. He has gotten much worst because the game is in his head now. He definitely needs to get out of ATL and get his head straight. The all star game messed his mind up and took away his confidence he really needs to get on a new team. I would love to have him and his power back. Not full time but he can be a good platoon guy.

That's a lot of over thinking. dude its not over thinking. You can see it in the stats before and after. Neither of those players has been the same at all and it is reason to be concerned. It happened to bobby Abreu too after his big performance his career was never the same. Its the curse of the all star game it seems like. I just don't know why they need to play it just do like the nfl nobody watches that pro bowl you just get the honor of being named to it why bother playing the game? makes zero sense the season is too long. why risk injury and messing up your swing???

Stanton starting at DH in ASG
Good that means theres less chance for him getting injured. I don't want him to try to dive for a ball or to pull a hammy its bad enough that his swing is going to get messed up in the Home Run contest.... Hopefully not because he already swings for the fences all the time but we know what happened to hanely and uggla after there all star games and Home run contest swings.

It's cool that the big man is going to be in the home run contest and that he will be in the big game... but I am worried about what will happen after the game and the rest of his career. Look at what happened to Hanely after he was in the Home Run contest and the game... He has NEVER been the same since then. His career has gone way down since that game. He was maybe the best player in the MLB before that contest and now he is barely average and is always injured also. And We all know about Uggla. He still has the power but his batting average is as bad as a pitcher ever since the contest and game. I know some people will say its a big coincidence but come on both of them? It really makes me nervous to see him taking his hacks tonight and I wish he would get sick or it would rain or something because we need him the second half. This team can't compete without Stanton being as awesome as he has been this year.

We defnitly need some power in the infield so I would love to see Uggz come back. He is one of my alltime favorite marlins. I could see it where it can work if you platoon him at 3rd base when a lefty starter takes the mound and move Mcgee to 1st base so Jones can ride the bench. That way you can get Uggla AND Mcgee in the line up when theres a south paw on the mound. That could end up as a very potent mix and Uggla can always pinch hit. Right now I would not start him at 2nd over Donovan Solano because he is doing a pretty good job there. Can Uggla play any other position other then 3rd base and 2nd base? He could be useful as a 4th outfielder or if he can learn to play 1st base he can go there against lefty pitchers and just leave Mcgee on 3rd base right? :mischief2
