Fish of the First Half

Featured Replies

Alvarez, if we are talking about individual performances. Unfortunately, his record isn't so hot because of his team around him, so it's hard to say he his stellar performance has impacted the team drastically.

Otherwise, Stanton. Both in terms of individual and team impact.

Hitters' pick

Best : Stanton (Way to go to career-best like a MVP. I'm ready to enjoy the derby)

Worst : Salty (Almost 200k pace with horrible defense. A veteran with lack of situational hitting.)

Pitchers' pick

Best : Alvarez (No doubt about it)

Worst : Turner (Suspicious about intentional slowdown. Very disappointed. Another fraud from Dombrowski?)

I kinda like the worst idea considering we're 6 games under .500 aka we're not very good. I think Salty is a fair choice since he's currently having the 2nd worst season of his career and striking out 1/3 of the time.

HA would be my best SP. Heaney probably the worst for me if we're going by just 1st half. I didn't expect anything out of Turner so leaving him off that.

I was just expecting everyone to reply and say "Stanton, you idiot".

I mean again it really depends. If you dissect it down to single performance, Alvarez is pitching phenomenally. He's right up there with Stanton.

But if you look at impact, there's zero competition. Alvarez hasn't had a big impact, because his stellar performance has largely gone to waste.
