  1. A festival for what fans? To celebrate what? lol
  2. The ownership will make alot of money before the season even starts in revenue sharing, what does it matter to them, finanacially, if nobody goes? Attendance isn't a priority to them, it's not personal, the goal in buisness is to be lean, keep costs down, and make a profit.
  3. Hanley has reached base in 5 of his 7 at bats with the Dodgers. I wouldn't be obsessed with how Hanley's doing, he wasn't performing HERE and that is why he is gone, good riddance. Marlins freed money up to go after other bats for next year. What is with all the angst? This team was going nowhere how it was constructed, so blow it up, rebuild.
  4. Thanks Beinfest! On the way out trade Hanley for nothing, lol. Marlins FO sucks! Why let someone who is leaving at the end of the season make this decision? I'm fine with trading a talented player who doesn't apply himself, he's been very pedestrian for a few years, to save some money for other players next year. Thing is, do you trust this FO to spend that money wisely?
  5. I love LoMo, pretty much the only interesting thing to come out of this God-forsaken season. The Marlins are prideful (i.e. stupid) enough to trade him for nothing, too. It's funny that you would rip the Marlins for being prideful and stupid, because people who disagree with LoMo here are saying he is doing just that. Both sides are allegedly guilty of displaying the same negative qualities. I know you are, but what am I, anyone? LoMo is engaging with the fans and is gregarious, when the Marlins brass acts up they fire company men like Girardi and Fredi or want to trade Hanley cause he doesn't want to shave his ghetto braids. The latter is less amusing to me.

Yeah mike stanton was super boring. So was watching boni develop. I'd be Mike Stanton's girlfriend 4 ever and Boni's evolution from the league's worst starter to average was astonishing but it was to no end, their performances were wedged into a bunch of 2-1 losses. I like LoMo cause of all the drama and twatter beef and all that.
  7. '98 was much worse, a completely irrelevant season, while this one was just largely irrelevant. This has been the worst since '98 though, despite the fast start and the surge to .500 I never thought this team was equipped enough to make any sort of run, not with the Phillies and Braves ruling this division. Even at full strength there is an astronomical gap between our squad and the contenders.

  9. Some bad intentions behind those bombs, could have been ugly.
  10. Javier Vazquez gets my vote just because he's been pitching so much better of late. Hanley is an obvious but i will say it's amazing to see him finally hitting. Petersen has showed some good things. Stanton is a beast as usual, I think the flyout went 500 feet high before coming down at the warning track. Oh, and before I forget hopefully Boni's wife gave berth to a healthy child! We need another speed demon in 20 years. A friend and I will be at the game tomorrow, chance to meet Gaby and Bonifacio and team is playing better worth the drive to see some offense! Knock on Wood! Will anyone answer me? Will Vaz be re-signed? He-no-Javi-a-very-good-season! / Hochman
  11. Marlins will only make major moves at the deadline if they think they can go all the way and they've been consistent with this over the years. This isn't a championship caliber team.
  12. A 3-hole or clean-up hitter bunting is bad baseball, it's idiotic. Bonifacio will likely score on most singles from 2B.
  13. I'm always amazed at the zeal that some people have in pursuing foul balls/giveaways, they'll drop their children, run over children, dive over rows of seats etc. for a pretty benign memento. I saw that here in New Orleans during Mardi Gras people stepping on other people's hands for stupid beads or cheap throws. A son is without his father for something next to worthless, it's a bad way to die.
