Heat Take Dwayne Wade!
Wild Card you'd be even smarter then you are now if you could put away your Miami Pride. (I can be realistic about the packers) There isn't a chance in hell Caron is better then Amare. And as a fan of neither team. In fact I hate the Suns being a TWolve fan. I like the Heat more. But there just is not a chance Caron is better. Yes he is good and will be good for years. But Amare in 2 or 3 years will be mentioned in the same breath of the likes of Garnett, Duncan, Nowitzki, Wallace, etc, etc, essentially the great PF's in the game. Caron is good. But he is no Amare or Yao for that matter.

Huge NBA Trade!
Well guys the Wolves finally did it! They got a supporting cast around K.G.! Now that K.G. has a supporting cast he can win with he's gonna stay! Early this morning the Wolves and Bucks finalized a deal sending Sam Cassell (Guard) and Ervin Johnson (Center) to the Wolves for Joe "Piece of Sh*t" Smith (Forward) and Anthony Peeler. Peeler is one of the premier shooters in the league today. But getting Cassell for him is unfortunately a no brainer. Joe Smith, about time the Wolves got rid of him! Crap I couldn't stand him! What a worthless piece of crap. Hes even worse that we lost 4 1st rounders cuz of him! Hes finally gone! So with that trade, assuming our star Center Rasho Nesterovic Re-signs here is our lineup, and its pretty damn scary now! PG- Troy Hudson SG- Sam Cassell SF- Wally Szczerbiak PF- Kevin Garnett C- Rasho Nesterovic I think all 5 of them have All Star Potential. K.G., Cassel, and Wally already have been All Stars. And I think Rasho will be one eventually, and Hudson has the talent and potential to be one. Not to forget the supporting cast which is more then stellar, we have always had one of the best benches in the league... F- Gary Trent F- Marc Jackson F- Ndudi Ebi C- Ervin Johnson (if we keep Brandon) G- Kendall Gill G- Terrell Brandon G- Mike Wilks (if we trade Brandon) G- Kendall Gill G- Mike Wilks G- Felipe Lopez Now that is a team thats gonna make it past Rd. 1. With 3, 20 pt. scorers a game in Garnett, Szczerbiak, and Cassell thats a huge boost there. And Troy Hudson and Rasho also being good scorers. Then our rebounders... Garnett, Trent, Jackson, Nesterovic, Johnson. Our Shot Blockers... Garnett, Nesterovic, Ebi, Jackson, Johnson Our outside shooters.... Cassell, Szczerbiak, Hudson, Brandon (if we keep him), Wilks I think the Wolves have 2nd round dreams now in sight!

Heat Take Dwayne Wade!
Man my Wolves blew this one! Ndudi Ebi? Who the hell is this kid? We drafted a 6-9 forward who weighs 195 pounds! Thats a lot less then most guards! I can see where this is going. This is going to be Will Avery all over again! They shoulda taken Estill or Bogans like they were gonna!

Heat Take Dwayne Wade!
Okay guys, rumors are circulating throughout the NBA of the possibility of a blockbuster Draft Day trade between the Wolves and Blazers. Here is the deal.... Wolves Get: Rasheed Wallace Blazers Get: Terrell Brandon (for some reason everyone wants a hurt point guard ) 2nd Round Pick (maybe a future 2nd, but a 2nd to be sure) Joe Smith If you ask me, if this trade goes down. We'd be ripping Portland off majorly. But David Aldridge has been blabbering about this trade for a week or so now. BTW: Its almost set in stone that the Wolves will draft Troy Bell (PG, Boston College), or Marquis Estill (F, Kentucky), or Keith Bogans (G, Kentucky), or James Lang (F/C, High School). Whose Miami drafting outta curiosity?

Dallas--- Well a lot of experts say, and I agree, that Carter would have been a high 1st round pick if he stayed in school. So I think QCarter will eventually do fine. But see the thing is the Tuna will be good. But he preaches the run to set up the pass. And with no Emmit. No offense. He is not one to change his system so quickly. And we all know Troy Hambrick is no Emmit Smith! Early Prediction: 7-9/8-8 So I see Dallas as really outside shot at the last Wild Card spot. And I mean outside. But the Defense is truly awesome!

NFC Breakdown
Notice Wild Card that I said I would put up more reviews later! And Marlins, I don't predict any sharpies, but against the Pack last year Owens took out the pom poms!! I'm serious about this, I predict that when Frisco comes to Green Bay this year, if Owens scores a TD in that game, I predict he does a Lambeau Leap! Anyways, here is the rest of my reviews.... San Francisco--- Made the biggest mistake by firing Mariucci to protect Bill Walsh's ego as the greatest 9er coach ever. Dennis Erickson is an average coach (usually 8-8) the Niners are a very good team (usually 11-5). Not a lot of improvement on Defense, and letting go a good reciever in Stokes (though he wanted to go) were huge mistakes that will prove consequential! Early Prediction: 10-6 Atlanta--- A surprise team. And even if the only reason they beat us at Lambeau is Vick, they still have him. And that makes them just as dangerous period. With some very nice additions in the Defensive Backfield (both additions were from Green Bay last year). I think that they will be even better. Scary thought I know. Early Prediction: 10-6/11-5 Philadelphia--- A very good team. People say they've gotten worse. I don't think so. They got rid of 2 extremely slow LBs in Kirkland and Gardner. And added 2 very fast LBs with Nate Wayne (Green Bay) and another whose name escapes me now. But replacing Hugh Douglas with Jerome McDougall, McDougall may be good. But not as good as Douglas. And making no offensive improvements. Equals about the same season as last year and the year before. Playoff disappointment. Early Prediction: 11-5/12-4 N.Y. Giants--- Good team. Very confident and good coach. Average to Good offense. Barber and Collins can hold it up. Pretty good defense. The roster doesn't blow your skirt up when you look at it. But what counts is they play as a TEAM. And they never give up. Good team. Early Prediction: 9-7/10-6 So as you see the NFC should be loaded with talent. And also to get honorable mention as possible playoff contenders... (in no particular order) St. Louis New Orleans Washington

The Packers get re-inforcements
See Wild Card you don't get it. The Bucs are champs until further notice. That makes em the best. Period. Same with the Raiders. Til further notice their the best in the AFC. And when you judge a team and say the Pack and Fins are the best on paper, thats fine. But look where paper champs have gotten all the Redskin teams! The only thing that counts is what they did on the field last time. Who knows maybe the Packers and Fins are just the same as they were last year or maybe worse, though that is doubtful its possible. And so thats why you can't judge a team on paper. You have to judge a team by what they've done last. So the next thing that will count for the Fins and Pack is what happens come Sept. 7. Sure you can say that the Pack and Fins have had the best off season. But you know that wouldn't be true. Because the Vikings and Redskins have had the best off season. I would say the Fins, but FROM WHAT IT LOOKS, you guys had a awful draft. Das is right.

NFC Breakdown
Okay guys here is how I rank the NFC.... 1. Tampa Bay 2. Green Bay/Philadelphia 4. Atlanta 5. San Francisco 6. Minnesota 7. N.Y. Giants Okay I will break them down... Tampa Bay--- Best defense to ever take the field. Absolutely fabulous "D". And Brad Johnson suffices and thrives in this offense. But the offense is still lackluster. But they won the Super Bowl. Period. Early Prediction: 12-4/13-3 Green Bay--- We showed that injuries eventually caught up with us against the Jets and Falcons. We showed that when injured Lambeau Field wasn't this impenetrable fortress. But the main reason for our demise, wasn't Vick. The Pack had no chance in the playoffs last year. So Linebackers, and a hurt Gilbert Brown equals a really bad run defense. The Packers have done things differently, we have plenty of LB speed now with Na'il Diggs returning, Nick Barnett drafted and signing Hannibal Navies. Drafting Kenny Peterson I look for Peterson to start along side Cletidus Hunt and Gilbert Brown to come in on rushing downs, Rod Walker would also be adequate to fill in Browns role when Brown is hurt. But I see the Packers getting a run for their money from the Vikings. Early Prediction: 11-5/12-4 Minnesota--- Best off season in history. Chris Claiborne, Ken Irvin, Kevin Williams, and a plethera of other good free agents and draftees. The Pass Defense which was their weekness should be stronger. The only question I ahve for them on their pass D is the safety spots. Their offense is good when Culpepper is out. Culpepper has been in Minnesota since the year ended studying film and hitting the books. And the fact that he is still in the Twin Cities isn't good for him. Meaning he hasn't hit the books good enough. And so the Vikings Defense will be good and their offense will be good. But IF Culpepper continues to turn the ball over like he did last year, then there is no way the Vikings Defense has the endurance to stay on the field as long as he has put them on the field in the past. My Dad (a viking fan) says they'll beat the Pack for the division, hes wrong. But they will be good and challenge for a low wild card spot. Early Prediction: Between 8-8 and 10-6 Chicago--- They did the Packers a favor by signing the awful Kordell Stewart. Rex Grossman drafted said this "I can't wait to follow in the footsteps of some of the great Bears QBs. It will be really exciting to try and live up to their high standards!" Yes Rex should have a hell of a time trying to live up to the standards of Jim Miller, Shane Mathews, Eric Kramer, Henry Burris, Steve Stenstrom, and Jack O'Neal. Nuff said. Urlacher and Brown are the only bright spots on this team. Early Prediction: 5-11/6-10 I will do more reviews later.

The Packers get re-inforcements
Heres my take... The AFC is too much of a crapshoot. The Fins didn't even make the playoffs. But they have tons of talent. You don't judge teams in the offseason by roster or players. You judge them on their last game. Frankly that doesn't bode well for my Packers! The Falcons flat out beat the piss out of us. I was at the game. For the first time in many times I walked out of Lambeau seeing the Pack lose, it was tough and I did cry. Favres streak and our home playoff streak shattered. Oh well. But I won't comment further on the AFC, the NFC I will in another thread.

The Packers get re-inforcements
It was everything about the game. The fans, players, coaches, the weather. Starrs last minute sneak! Brings tears of joy to my eyes just thinking about it. And well the year when Dallas won the Super Bowl (95) I was a Cowboy fan in 1st Grade, and after the Super Bowl against Pittsburgh, I found out about how some of the refferees were bribed by Dallas, or at least rumors of it. And thats what made me a Packers fan. And coincedentally we won the Super Bowl that year (the Packers), but I'm over the fact of the rumors true or not if Dallas paid the refs. I could care less. I'm a Packer Backer now and thats all that counts. And you could say that the Niners aren't especially fond of you guys! And the Redskins, and the Giants, and the Eagles. But what makes me mad now, is that you guys are still in the NFC East! You guys are in Texas! But I guess when Jerry Jones whines enough to Taglibue he'll keep his rivals. You guys should be in the NFC South. And the Panthers should be in the East. Its geographically correct. Oh well. We still have the best division. The best rivalries, Packers vs. Bears, THERE is a LOT of HATRED in this rivalry. I hate the bears with every fiber of my being. Though I live closer to Minnesota. I hate the Vikings too. But find a division with better rivals then the Packers/Bears, Packers/Vikings, Vikings/Bears, Vikings/Lions, Lions/Bears, Packers/Lions. The NFC East, AFC East, AFC North, and AFC West also have some classic rivalries. But the Packers/Bears is without question the premier rivalry in the NFL due to the history and hatred involved. And Packers/Vikings, try finding a more competitive eye for an eye rivalry. The Packers and Vikes go down to the wire at Lambeau each year. And the Vikes route us in the dome. But thats fine.

The Packers get re-inforcements
I'm sorry for calling you an idiot. But minus you contradict yourself. If the Packers 9 championships don't count because there wasn't that many teams. Then I guess your 2 Super Bowls and Undefeated Seasons are null and void. Texan, I was once a Cowboy fan every little boy is sooner or later. And I'll have you know, Dallas is not at all hated. In fact there is no other team I would love to see be successful again then Dallas. Because our 2 teams are great rivals and there is always fun and bragging rights. There is hatred between you and a lot teams. But I don't sense hatred in the Packers/Cowboys matchup. I sense more a sense of mutual respect for eachother. Minus, Actually we have 3 Super Bowls. One more then you guys. You evidently didn't take your time to thoroughly read that. Oh and to put a cherry on top.... The Packers participated in arguably the greatest game of all time, The Ice Bowl! Packers/Cowboys. 13 below zero. Coldest New Years Eve in Green Bay History! Nitschke suffered severe frostbite. The Packers get the ball. Its 17-14 Dallas leading. Less then 5 Minutes. The Packers deep in their own territory. Starr rainbows a pass to McGee to get us on the edge of Dallas territory. After a huge Jim Taylor run. And some other plays. We are at the Dallas one yard line. Seconds to go. 3rd down. Lombardi calls a handoff to Hornung. Starr nulls that and basically "audibles in the huddle" so to say. And calls his own number on a 1 yard QB sneak behind Fuzzy Thurston. He takes the snap, hops back, and dives in head first! TOUCHDOWN! Football doesn't get better then that! And what about the fact that the Packers are the only team and will always be the only team where the fans own the team? Huh? Does it get better then that? NO! All the others have stuck up millionaires and billionaires running the team. But us, we have the fans as our owners! I own the Packers. My little brothers, the guy next door. We own the Packers because there is no other team like us. And I'd have no other way. Again sorry minus, no hard feelings. But the Packers are the Yankees, Celtics and Cadillac of Football. You'd be saying the same thing I am if it were the Dolphins that have been around before the Super Bowl era and if they won some "World Titles" and not "Super Bowls". Either way we have 3 Super Bowl Wins to your 2. No hard feelings man.

The Packers get re-inforcements
Here minus your an idiot if this doesnt convince you.... 83 years going on 84 years come Sept. 4. The Packers were one of the original 5 teams. Curly Lambeau a meat packer (hence our name) at a Meat Packing Plant in Green Bay wanted to start a football team. So everyone at his plant chipped in. Curly Lambeau won 6 NFL Titles as a Player/Coach. Arnie Herber one of the great QBs of the day also with him. Curly Lambeaus legendary Rivalry with "The Poppa Bear" George Halas. The 2 never shook hands, bitter rivals to the end. When Lambeau died at 67, Halas revealed just how good of friends they were in a tear ridden eulogy at Lambeaus funeral. City Stadium was where they played, it was right by Green Bay East High School. Don Hutson, arguably the best WR ever (Rice, and Cris Carter are the best in my opinion) played with the likes of Herber, and Lambeau (remember Lambeau was a player/coach) Fast Forward to 1955, Lambeau Field now built, first year. The first modern NFL stadium, all football historians agree that if Lambeau wasn't built, because of it being the first modern stadium football would have died. 1957, Bart Starr is drafted. 1959, Vince Lombardi is hired. Lombardi took the Packers to 6, yes 6, Championship Games in SEVEN YEARS! He won 5 of them! Best coach ever in football, easy. Lombardi also had a legendary rivalry with Halas. Lambeau dies in the 60's, Halas gives a tearful eulogy to his friend. The Packers win the first 2 ever Super Bowls. In the 70s and 80s we were the "Stinky Cheese Men". Early 1970's Bob Harlan (now the teams President) is hired as a Talent Scout. 1991, Ron Wolf hired as GM. 1992, Mike Holmgren Named Head Coach of the Packers. Brett Favre in acquired in trade from Atlanta. 1993, the first year of free Agency and the Pack Lands Reggie White. 1995, Pack wins first division championship in over 20 years. Makes first appearance in NFC Championship game in over 20 years. 1996, Division Champions, Super Bowl Champions. Their 12th world championship 1997, Division Champions, NFC Champions, Lose Super Bowl to Broncos 1998, Holmgren leaves for Seattle 2000, Mike Sherman Hired Ahman Green acquired in Trade from Seattle 2002, Division Champions Brett Favre- 3 Time MVP Bart Starr- 2 Time Super Bowl MVP, 1 NFL MVP 30 Hall of Famers (when Jefferson is inducted in August) which will tie the Bears for first all time. 12 World Championships. Easily the best fans in the NFL, always have been. (sorry fin fans, you gotta admit) The Packers are the most sucessful team in football since 1992. The Packers have sold out every game now for almost 20 years. A streak not even close to being touched. That shows how good our fans are. Lambeau Field, the ghosts of Lambeau, Lombardi, and Nitschke haunt opposing teams almost as much as Favres bullets and Greens dashes. The Lambeau Leap. Cheesheads traveling across the world just to see their Packers play in a PreSeason game in Tokyo! Minus if you can find a team with half the history that the Packers have, I will worship you. But see there isn't a team with a third of the history Green Bay has. The Smallest Town Team in the NFL is also the one with the most fans (check the polls) and the biggest following and most tradition. You can't argue anything I've just said. Because without the Packers the NFL would never be. And thats the serious truth. Lambeau Field was the first modern NFL Stadium, and if it were never built, the NFL would have never financially survived. NFL=Packers Packers=NFL Minus so your saying what the Packers did didn't count because there wasn't that much teams? I bet you wouldnt say that if it were the Dolphins. So if you say what we did doesnt count because there wasn't that much teams around, I guess that undefeated 1972 season doesn't count in your books then? Period. Checkmate. Game, set, match.

The Packers get re-inforcements
At least Marlins is a realist. And so am I. There is no question the Packers are head and shoulders everything football is and was. And as much as this hurts me, in a distant 2nd in history and tradition.... highlight the line right underneath this... the bears there i said it (highlight)the bears are a distant 2nd in history and tradition to my men of cheese. My most hated rival (highlight)the bears are a distant 2nd to my Packers in history. That hurt guys, but damn it feels good to get it off my chest!

The Packers get re-inforcements
Doesn't matter. 12 is 12. Period. And that is the number that has to be passed officially. Sorry guys. And now you just said the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Green Bay gets more credit then it deserves. Thats crap! If anything I should be giving it more credit. How can you have a better history then.... City Stadium? Curly Lambeau? 1921? Lambeau Field? The Best Fans in Sports (according to ESPN)? The "Ultimate Team" as done by ESPN? Don Hutson, Arnie Herber? Vince Lombardi? Max McGee (who is a personal friend of me and my Dad)? Bart Starr? Hornung? Taylor? Nitschke? Wood? Jeter? Davis? Robinson? Thurston? Kramer? Favre? Green? Coffman? Jefferson? We will have 30 guys in the Hall of Fame when James Lofton is inducted this August. 30! That ties the Bears (grr) for the most ever. We still have more Super Bowls then the Dolphins minus the NFL Championships pre-Super Bowl Era. Either way you twist or turn it Minus, Green Bay is the most historic and successful team to ever play football. PERIOD. No team matches Green Bay in History, Success, Fans, Legacy, and damn near everything else. GO PACK GO!
-
The Packers get re-inforcements
Thats what I want Green Bay/Miami---Reliant Stadium, Houston And well Minus with 12 NFL World Championships, I don't have to dream. You guys are sitting at 2 (correct me if I am wrong). So you have around 10 championships to make up. But anyways just so you all know the Pack is gonna be around for about 3-5 years after Favre. Especially with the young core of talent we have. We really are a young team. And thats whats so scary.

The Final NBA Mock Pre-Draft Thread
Just PMd MasterChief asking for the Wolves. So if he says yes then BFranklin can put me in there with the Wolves. But we must wait and see what MasterChief says first of course.

The Packers get re-inforcements
Uh oh. Ross is right! That makes it 15 years! By the way Marlin----Green Bay has to end their 7 year SB drought next January. They already have their sideline in Houston reserved. So you guys can get there, but you'll have to settle for a loss. GO PACK GO!

The Packers get re-inforcements
Then your a bit dusty, The Pack is the only team to not have a losing season since 1992 along with your Fins. But we have a better record... 1992: 9-7 1993: 9-7 (Playoffs) 1994: 10-6 (Playoffs) 1995: 11-5 (Division Championship, Playoffs, NFC Championship Appearance) 1996: 13-3 (Division Championship, Playoffs, NFC Championship, Super Bowl Champions) 1997: 13-3 (Division Championship, Playoffs, NFC Championship, Super Bowl Appearance) 1998: 11-5 (Playoffs) 1999: 8-8 2000: 9-7 2001: 12-4 (Playoffs) 2002: 12-4 (Division Championship, Playoffs) Division Championships: 4 Playoff Appearances: 8 NFC Championship Appearances: 3 NFC Championship Victories: 2 Super Bowl Appearances: 2 Super Bowl Championships: 1 MVPs For Favre: 3 Super Bowl MVPs: 1 Winning Percentage: 659% Losing Seasons: 0 Total Record: 116-60 Truly amazing what the Packers have done with Favre. Our last losing season was a 4-12 year in 1991. But thats no worry. For all the Fin fans.... I don't know your year by year, but I do know that your records are this.... Total Record: 108-68 Winning Percentage: 613% Losing Seasons: 0 So that is a credit to what you guys have done. Good job. But we've still done better! GO PACK GO! GO PACK GO! GO PACK GO! GO PACK GO! GO PACK GO! GO PACK GO! GO PACK GO! GO PACK GO!

The Packers get re-inforcements
Okay the Packers have obviously been rennovating Lambeau Field for the past 3 years, and rennovation concludes in mid August. And already the Packers have jumped from 17 in the league in spending money to 10. Expected to wind up around the Top 5-7 when the dust settles, that equals trouble for opponenents even when Brett quits. Cuz we'll have the money to go get a QB. But that won't be nessacary, because Craig Nall will do fine. Not as good, but still be good. And the Packer legacy will continue. The most successful team in the NFL since 1992, never recording a losing season. Worse record was 8-8. That says alot and how much Favre has carried us. But I think now we have enough young talent to continue to be good. Just thought I should tell you all. For future reference.
