i always liked Frank. it didn't sink in to me that he was getting a Ring until i saw him on the field celebrating after the game. i think he's a HOFer given his career numbers and spending a decade being the best offensive first basemen in the AL (possibly the majors). but given the similarity of the numbers, if Thomas is a HOFer, than Bagwell is too. :o
  3. what is the best park and league for hitters in the minor leagues? i know for AAA the Pacific Coast League is very hitter friendly, and Colorado Springs is the most extreme hitters park at that level. does anyone know what they are for AA, High A, and Low A?
  4. yep, it be a Yahoo league.
  5. need 10 more people...c'mon, join, what have ya got to lose?
  6. draft time changed to 8:00 PM EST...this was done because the core group of people i started the league for live on the West Coast and couldn't make the original draft time.
  7. i already has tremendous respect for Smoltz, but this gives me just that much more. :thumbup

he already looks like he could eat LaSorda, but next to the young'ns there, he looks like a friggin giant....a steroid crazy giant.
  9. exactly....most of MLB's active roster will be drafted. about the 9th round it really comes down to your knowledge of prospects and bench players....i love it. :cool

  12. so does this league have a comissionar yet?
  13. reasons why: 1. Opening Day 2. about 30-50% of the crowd will be Cubs fans 3. Junior, Kearns, and Dunn healthy 4. baseball lifers 5. Acevedo, Wagner, Claussen and other young pitchers. take it from the guy who lives in Greater Cincinnati and is a Reds and Cubs fan, and who's fiance is a Cubs fan. it's mostly because of the Cubs.
