I love how the Marlins always turn 1 loss into 3 or 4.

I mean Mattingly must be livid. Not only was the road trip finish terrible but to come home and the game is basically over in the second inning.

Is this really happening?

Oh yeah and the Pirates cant score. As usual, against the Marlins.

And the best part is that Conley had Harrison 0-2 with 2 outs and 7 runs come in.

We all know the Marlins should have signed Kennedy instead of Chen but if I'm the Marlins, I try to swing a deal for him. I know Chen was coming off some solid years in Baltimore but amazing he got $10 million more than Kennedy.

Yeah but could have eaily been 2-3 games better. Early or not.

In fairness, Volquez battled and gave up two tough runs with the error and late tag by Realmuto. If he can get his control down, he has the stuff to be successful. Still pretty pissed about this road trip, especially after winning the series in San Diego.

I also forgot to include the third run scoring because Realmuto couldn't properly tag the runner. Had the ball before the runner could even be seen on screen. About to be 5 behind the Nationals already.

A poorly played road trip. The one error the infield makes this season is the difference in the game. Volquez battled but his control is still terrible. Very disappointing to be back at 10-10 and even though the start feels better than last season, there hasnt been any real progress. Mattingly said he may "mix some things up."

Of course the unearned run is the difference.

So last season we were 12-12 and if we lose today to cap off a lovely 3-5 road trip, we will be 10-10. Progress.
