  1. Wow didn't know dat he was latin dang he is gonna be awesome, waiting to see him play in da big leagues.
  2. U can still have ur opinion on why pudge isnt dat good and I will still have mine, so no biggie man people and Im not saying u but everyone including me should agree to disagree.
  3. Like I said for me he is so thats my opinion and is not going to change. Opinions like these should be based on something. Do you have a reason for this or is it just a case where you really really really like him and decided he was the bestest player in the world? No, see I know he is a really good catchers even with his flaws cause everyone has ones like hanley for example he is awesome but not the greatest defensively. All I am saying is that I think I dont have to give more facts than already are cause like I say I respect people opinions like yours and DONT want to get into a discussion oh and just for the records he isnt my favorite player HANLEY is. The entire point of having this message board is to discuss these things. And remember, Hanley's flaw is defense and Pudge's flaw is getting on-base, an aging body, a weakening arm, a caught stealing% that has dropped over 10%, and an overestimation of his own worth. Yes that is the point but not getting into it like I have seen a lot in here, cause when people do dat they lose respect for the others and thats what Im trying to avoid.
  4. Baker's fine... who cares about Pudge Because as much as you don't like it, Baker isn't going to play 162 games this season. There's going to be 200 or so vacant at-bats when he isn't playing. Pudge is the ideal candidate to plug in those at-bats. Yes he is, but Pudge doesn't know that. In his mind, it's Bake who should be getting the Sunday day game starts while he should be the full time player. See know u talking nonsense cause u aint heard that from pudge's mouth, so ur just assuming that 1 cause he has said that he will love to start cause he has personal goal that wants to achieve.

  7. No, you don't. You THINK he is, despite years of proof to the other wise. How can you say that he is better when he's one of the worst catchers when it comes to not making outs? Like I said for me he is so thats my opinion and is not going to change.
  8. Ok well correct me then. If I read it correctly, you said you can't fault him for wanting a contract he deserves because he is better than many other catchers, which is contradictory. What I meant is that no one can fault him for wanting a good contract, because he is better than many other catchers. No, the point is that you are wrong about that last part. He is NOT better than many other catchers, which is why he doesn't deserve that contract. :lol I know he is so Im NOT going to argue.

  10. Ok I got u but 4 real did u think that da marlins were going to sing him i mean come on No, because Pudge thinks he's worth more than he actually is. :lol ok Im not gonna argue but tell me if he is the only player in all MLB that wants a good contrac, can't fault him 4 dat he is still better than a lot of catchers. That's the thing, he's not better than a lot of catchers. If he gives you an .800 OPS that would make him lots better than a lot of catchers I know that 4 sure but everyone has their opinions so u cant do much about it but good info though :thumbup
  11. I didn't say I was disagreeing with you, I said that your statement didn't make any sense. Ok well u can correct me. I dont have a problem with it cause I know I make a lot of mistakes writing so I wont take it personal bro.
  12. That doesn't even make sense. Well thats my opinion bro u dont have to agree with me :thumbup

  15. everyone knows how we do business so don't have a lot to say.
  16. If Pudge does well in the WBC, I say he has 0 chance of coming here. Put a - something lol Excuse me? What happen bro??? I was saying that put a minus something like -10% chance that we get him. No, zero chance is good enough for me. Seriously, if he does well he'll believe that he still deserves to be a starting catcher, which he won't be here. Ok I got u but 4 real did u think that da marlins were going to sing him i mean come on

  18. Well thank GOD the marlins are not da ones with 6 errors today in fact thay haven't made 1 lets hope I don't jinx them :lol but dang 6 errors just WOW I can't recall a game like dat.
  19. Im NOT trying to create drama or nothing. I know people has their own opinions and there's nothing wrong with dat Im just giving mine but I RESPECT all your opinions so my bad if it dind't seem that way.
  20. I prefer Pudge over Mike Rabelo. Aside from that, he's no savior or anything. The only 1 saviour that exists: JESUS CHRIST KING OF KINGS. Pudge is >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> than Rabelo and a lot others.
  21. If Pudge does well in the WBC, I say he has 0 chance of coming here. Put a - something lol
  22. Some more info but nothing really to it: http://florida.marlins.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20090308&content_id=3943254&vkey=news_fla&fext=.jsp&c_id=fla
  23. I'm sorry but am I the only one who thinks that Pudge takes this team from "scary good" to pl;ayoff contender and maybe more? He did it once and like Rudy T said "Never underestimate the heart of a champion". Plus he probably could finish his career there with a team waiting to put him in their ring of honor. He's the missing piece to this almost complete puzzle Believe me u r not the only 1 but, Boricua de pura cepa but if u a marlins fan well ... u know da rest about our FO.
  24. That was a huge upset but they have really good players and prospects. It was a huge upset but the Dutch don't have many good players or good prospects. As for Pudge, he was great yesterday. Means absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things and he isn't getting a "pretty good contract" from anyone Check this: Neuman, Dennis- Neuman, Dennis- He is with the Boston Redsox organization. Made his pro debut with the (Rookie-level) Dominican Summer League Red Sox...led the club with 21 appearances and seven saves...allowed earned runs in just one of his first 11 games June 2-July 4, going 0-2 with 6 saves and a 1.59 ERA (2 ER, 11 1/3 IP) in that span...went 1-0 with a save and a 1.29 ERA (3 ER. 21.0 IP) over his final nine outings July 14-Aug. 23, five of which were for two innings or more...held foes scoreless in 15 of his 21 games overall...limited right-handed batters to a .147 (11-for-75) average. Although his record ain't that good his only 19 years old and shows a lot of promise. Smit, Alexander- He is only 23 years old and is part of the Cincinnati Reds organization. In Class A Advanced Florida State League he had : 8 wins 7 losses 3.87 ERA 21 games all started 111.2 IP allowed 98 hits 53 runs 48 er 94 SO .242 AVG etc. Stuifbergen, Tom- Twins organization in the Rookie Gulf Coast League. 20 year old with a 2.19 ERA in 7 games 12.1 IP 6 H 9 SO and .140 AVG. I know that aint a long season Im just giving u da stats. Halman, Greg- 21 year old CF and is already in the 40-Man Roster and boy do they have more. THIS ARE JUST SOME. So from what I can tell you've got a Rookie level guy, a 23 year old in single A, a 20 year old who hasn't even pitched in the minors since 2007 in Rookie ball, and Greg Halman who looks decent enough. They have a lot more men but if I put every 1 Im going to spend a lot of time lol but just check it yourself : http://mlb.mlb.com/wbc/2009/rosters/index....amp;season=2009
  25. Im very happy for pudge and his game yesterday...but he knows one game wont do it. has to continue this thru out the WBC. But it was very exciting watching him do so well. I really hope Beinfest and Loria were watching the game and thinking about opening up the checkbook for Pudge. But i like i said before, its just one game... I really hope he does well and the Marlins sign him. Well nothing its impossible in life for those who BELIEVE but 4 real what r da chances that the FO is going to spend a buck more but there's nothing wrong about dreaming :whistle
