7/31 - Marlins vs Cubs
lol the guy is injury prone, and he's a decent player but I just don't think Johnson is going to add anything to the club in the terms of what we needed... He's a 1b who gets on base, and has little power. WE HAD THAT IN GLOAD, HELMS, SANCHEZ!!! Those guys could have easily taken over 1st, and let Cantu move to 3rd, and it wouldnt have cost us Thompson.. Don't get me wrong im all for Bonifako to the bench! (Rather see him released but this is a good enough alternative..) but we needed a closer, a starting pitcher, and a left handed power hitter... WE didn't get ANY of that. We got another Ross Gload type ball player in return for one of our best prospects... Not a good trade. Don't let the Marlins tv guys tell you different lol they are paid to tell you it's a good move.

Mexican Americans don't like to just get into gang fights, they like flowers and music and white girls named Debbie too. Mexican Americans are named Chata and Chella and Chima and have a son in law named jeff. Mexican Americans don't like to get up early in the morning but they have to so they do it real slow. Mexican Americans love education so they go to night school and they take spanish and get a B. Mexican Americans love their Nana's and their Nono's and their Nena's and their Neno's........ Nano Nano Nena Nono! Mexican Americans don't like to go to the movies where the dude has to wear contact lenses to make his blue eyes brown cause don't it make my brown eyes blue..... "And thats all i got, how do ya like it?"

7/31 - Marlins vs Cubs
They should have gone harder after Bell, and Victor Martinez of the tribe, and I don't know why they didn't look more at the Tribe for a player since they are sellers, and have a ton of good ball players on their club like Martinez, and Sizemore, Cliff Lee... ect...

7/31 - Marlins vs Cubs
it was pathetic but now with Johnson (bad trade, and not what we needed!) on his way here at least now we dont have to deal with Bonifraudio starting, and hitting in front of Hanley anymore.

July 30 - Marlins vs. Braves

Olney: Marlins pushing for Heath Bell
The Padres are getting all kinds of hits on closer Heath Bell -- almost a dozen teams have expressed interest -- and not surprisingly, the Florida Marlins have been among the most aggressive teams, reports ESPN The Magazine's Buster Olney. The Marlins have had issues at the back end of their bullpen for much of the season, and Bell would solidify that spot. The Padres have made it clear to other teams that while they are not intent on moving Bell, they will be willing to make a trade if somebody makes an aggressive offer that can help the San Diego organization in the long run. Bell, an NL All-Star this year, has converted 25 of 26 save chances, while compiling a 2.01 ERA. Baseball Prospectus Bell is worth paying a premium "Finding year-to-year consistency from relievers is no easy thing. Enter Bell, in the top 10 in Fair Runs Allowed (which includes a reliever's rates of inherited runs he lets score) this season with a 1.78 FRA, that after giving the Pad people a 3.55 FRA in 2008 and a 1.66 FRA in 2007. In short, he's someone with a multi-year track record for success, and he'd be under team control for two more (arbitration-eligible) seasons beyond this year. As a result, between his relative durability and his performance track record, he's a reliever worth paying a premium to add." - Christina Kahrl I'd love a real closer at the end of the pen and maybe everyone else back a peg; what a difference it'd make to have Bell at the CL, Nunez/Lindstrom at 8th, Lindstrom/Calero/Myers 7th, Donnelly/Ayala/Pinto 6th/7th Oh man Heath Bell would be awesome in a Marlins uniform! Please Sampson make this happen! Then go get us Victor Martinez! Man if we could get those two without giving up a West or Stanton it would be an amazing thing!

Detroit looks to reunite with former Tiger Cody Ross...
Ross for Miggy straight up. We pay Ross's salary and Detroit pays miggy. We both get our players back. Ross has really grown on me and I would be sad to see him go but if we got something that could really help us then do it. What does detroit have in their farm system? You just made my nipples hard! :whistle

July 31st Trade Deadline
Really? Where you not watching every time Miller is out there how he sucks? Or who was it in CF the entire first month of the season who couldn't hit if his life depended on it! And was so bad that even tho he was handed the position he now finds himself in AAA. They have been GARBAGE since becoming Marlins... This is what I said... I stick to it. They might turn into good players but so far for us they have been GARBAGE... The Hopper is the best thing we got back for Cabrera. You're a moron if you think Maybin is garbage after the September he had last season. Also the fact that your saying that he sucks when he's only 22 and has a good 2 or 3 years to still develop. Miller has shown some promise but Detroit messed him up by rushing him and not giving him enough time in the minors and now we kind of messed him up because we changed most of his mechanics which he has to now get used to. And Miller is also only 24. And you don't know how to read well... I SAID (Let me bold this so you might understand!) FOR US THEY HAVE BEEN GARBAGE SO FAR! And they have only done well in AAA where they both belong every time that Miller gets a start he gets killed! If he has a good game then he has 3 bad one's and its back to AAA with him... This is becoming routine with him, and Maybin just simply is not a major league baseball player. He might learn to play the game well enough to be a pretty good 4th OF in the majors but he looked lost out there when he was given the CF job. They handed him the job, and now he's back in AAA... And look they didn't bring him up! Wonder why? Because they know he's just not major league ready now... He is Far away from being any good in the majors if ever. I'm not saying that we wouldn't do it, it's that the Blue Jays want a lot in return for just Haladay(At least 2 prospects and another decent player) then you'd have to throw in another prospect or current MLB player for Rolen. It would take at least 5 good players to trade for both of them. I would trade anyone except Stanton, and West for Halladay & Rolen to be honest they would complete this team to near perfection!

July 31st Trade Deadline
lol are you all serious? This trade would unload Miller 3 guys who have been garbage for the best pitcher in baseball and a good hitting,a nd fielding 3b! Which we need... Anyway I said thats what I would do it's a fantasy trade... Oh, and yes it is a hell of a drug! lol Not even a video game with trade override on would let you make this trade. They'd want Morrison, Bonifacio, and Miller for just Haladay, maybe then you'd definitely have to throw in Dominguez and a lower level prospect pitcher to add Rolen to the mix. And since when are Miller and Maybin garbage? I would make that deal! Bonifacio, Miller, and a prospect say Matt Dominguez or Gaby Sanchez for Roy H. & Scott R. As long as we DON'T trade Stanton, and as long as Bonifcio ends up in another uniform, and no longer our problem im good! lol

July 31st Trade Deadline
Eh....I'd be really surprised if the Marlins made any major moves. Yea I see us unloading maybe Hermida for a pen pitcher if anything I doubt that Loria will open the wallets, and allow the few millions it would take to bring people to plug the holes we have. The one trade I think its a must for us if we are to really compete in the NL East is trading for Roy Halladay, and this would put us over the rest of the division. The way I would work that deal is like this "Roy Halladay, Scott Rolen, and a player to be named later" for "Cameron Maybin, Andrew Miller, and Emilio Bonifacio" Plug Rolen at 3rd, and well our rotation would look like this! Roy Halladay Josh Johnson Chris Volstad Ricky Nolasco Rick Vandenhurk I dare anyone in the National League to top that! lol haha cocaine is a hell of a drug lol are you all serious? This trade would unload Miller 3 guys who have been garbage for the best pitcher in baseball and a good hitting,a nd fielding 3b! Which we need... Anyway I said thats what I would do it's a fantasy trade... Get off my jock. Maybin and Miller are not garbage. Really? Where you not watching every time Miller is out there how he sucks?
