Guest marlins02
Tuesday, March 16, 2004 Associated Press MURRAY, Ky. -- Murray State forward Kelvin Brown was suspended indefinitely Tuesday and will miss the team's NCAA Tournament opener after his arrest on drug charges. Starting point guard Adam Chiles was also arrested Saturday after police responded to a 911 hang-up call from the off-campus apartment where the players live. The school cleared Chiles to play for the 12th-seeded Racers in Friday's game against Illinois in the South Regional in Columbus, Ohio, even though he was charged with hindering prosecution, possession of marijuana and a first offense of possession of drug paraphernalia. "The information regarding Adam Chiles does not, in our opinion, merit his suspension from the team," the university said in a statement. Brown averaged 12.7 points in 31 games for the Racers (28-5). Coach Mick Cronin supported the school's actions, although he added, "The timing and the circumstances of the situation are unfortunate." Brown, the team's second-leading scorer, was found hiding in a closet in the apartment, police said. He already was facing a warrant for allegedly leaving a service station without paying for gas earlier this month. Brown, 21, was charged with theft, possession of marijuana and a second offense of possession of drug paraphernalia. this could really hurt those picking Murray st. to upset illinois

nc marlin
Tonight at 7 is the Play-In game on ESPN. Florida A&M vs. Lehigh. Its nice for these teams that they can actually win a game in an NCAA tournament atmosphere.
Guest Juanky
Florida A&M won pretty handidly. They get the mighty honor of getting their brains bashed in by Kentucky on Friday. In other news, the NCAAs have way too much math for a sporting event.

farmer_fran
DePaul's LeVar Seals might get suspended for intentionally hitting Tony Bobbitt in the groin. I saw that live, I thought they threw him out for fighting so he has to automatically miss the next game.

Guest Juanky
St. Joe's advances, blowing past Liberty. Wake up 4 with a TV timeout and under 20 seconds to go.
Guest Juanky
Two point game now with 5.6 seconds to go, Wake heading to the line. If he makes one they'll guarantee a tie. Both will likely seal the deal.
Guest Juanky
Last second three by VCU is GOODDDDDD!!!!!! Too bad they were losing by four. Wake escapes and advances to face Manhattan. They coudl struggle next round as well, if they can't lock down the guards.
