State of the Campaign

Featured Replies

Last summer I noticed the frustrations of fellow Marlins fans who do not live in the South Florida Metro Area and were not getting games via TV and Radio like they should have around the state. With this we started a campaign to get more games aired in more places around this great state of Florida.

Our accomplishments for 2003:

:thumbup WWCN will air 120 games in SW Florida for 2004.

:thumbup WMEL will air as many games as possible without interfering with their local sports duties. (No less than 110 games)

:thumbup Comcast has signed a deal with FSN Florida and not only will they be adding FSN Florida in their Florida markets, but HD coverage of Marlins baseball will begin soon.

:thumbup Cox Cable of Gainesville/Ocala has picked up FSN Florida.

:thumbup WEVU-TV will carry some games in Fort Myers/Naples

Our goals for 2004:

1) Get Bright House Networks of Central Florida to pick up FSN Florida.

2) Get more stations to join the Marlins TV and Radio Networks.

3) Get more fans their Marlins!

Thank You so much for a great year and for more info, visit the Ballpark News Page and click on the Marlins on TV and Radio section for listings and the Big list of people to e-mail.

Together we can do anything!

and those are all results of things that you have pushed for....? :confused

both, but these were mostly done by corporate deals so you can't say we didn't have influence because we have been emailing like crazy.

All home games telecasted on Fox Sports Net Florida. Same schedule as the SAP Spanish Telecasts with Striker Jr. and Rojas.

The service will launched at a yet to be determined date at no further cost to Comcast customers with HD service.
