'Monkey Trial' county wants anti-gay law - Tennesee

DAYTON - The county that was the site of the 1925 Scopes "Monkey Trial" over the teaching of evolution is asking legislators to amend state law so the county can charge homosexuals with crimes against nature.

The Rhea County commissioners approved the request 8-0 Tuesday.

Commissioners J.C. Fugate also asked the county attorney to find a way to enact an ordinance banning homosexuals from living in the county.

WTF!?! What has the world come to today? Talk about discrimination...

Nothing new, in the gay case or in discrimination overall.

I didn't know that it was getting as bad as banning gays..I mean..

Illinois (among other states) used to not allow blacks in their state. Discrimination is nothing new.

but, its just been approved to be looked into. I mean, Rhea county might approve any case to come up. Can't have too much goin on.
