The Twins have a site up now, when the Marlins have an official ballpark info site? I don't care if they don't like to debate policy over the media, but the fans must be let known. Remember, no fans/public means no politicians and team.

They used to have one, when Henry took over, at marlinsballpark.com. It stayed unchanged from 99 until last year when the domain name license ran out.

I know, but Loria should put up something similar to what the Twins have. I would like to know who the architects are and their ideas. Nothing has been made public by the Marlins.

Just fired off an email to samson asking him who the ballpark architect is and if it could be possible for the Marlins to release some photos and sketches of the proposed ballpark structure. I told him that while the team doesn't like to argue policy in the public and press, if the public is to pay for it, we should know more about it.

I want to know what ths ownership is thinking of though. Thanks for the links. I want to know if they are using HOK or not and I want some pictures!

Cmon, Cape. Exercise some patience. I think any word leaked about this issue could possible set up dominoes to be knocked down by detractors and could threaten further negotiations. I too would like to see pics, plans, etc, but I think as long as there is dialogue, and there clearly is, that is a good thing. Something will get done.

If I knew the architect was someone like HOK or Ellerbe Beckett, I would trust every single word that came out of Samson's mouth concerning budget, time and features.

Beckett designed the Panther Arena and Bank One Ballpark.

HOK designed PPS and countless other stadiums.

I dont think the Marlins should be putting up any web pages about designs or locations until they have solid funding in place. Im sure many of the discussions are private and sensitive, and they don't want anything getting out until its official. Look what happened with the last time-Henry produced these pictures of what the stadium by the bay would look like, and to this day, people are still hoping to get that and have that in their head as what the stadium should look like. Dont worry, if its something the people have to pay for, well find out all about it, but theyre looking for alternatives. Not everything that goes on needs to or should be known by the public, they shouldnt be letting things out that might only set up people for disappointment.

I just want to know the architect...is it too much to ask? That would satisfy me until the deal is done.
