March 29, 200422 yr It appears that with the loss of Brock Lesnar, and with Kurt Angle on the shelf for the time being, the WWE has decided to reopen negotiations with Goldberg about a return to the company. Officials have offered Goldberg a new deal that would only have him work limited dates (i.e. PPV's and most TV shows), and would build to a large program with "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. While many feel that Goldberg will return once the time and money is right, Goldberg has been debating whether it will be better for his career to stay off WWE TV for a while, or to return quickly so that the fans don't forget about him. March 29, 200422 yr He'll return eventually, but I don't see it happening soon. He just doesn't have the desire.
March 29, 200422 yr Who didn't know he was coming back? Seriously? As soon as he pinned Lesnar I said he'd be back. And he won't come back soon because he's doing movie stuff, it has nothing to do with "passion." I don't blame the guy for not wanting to be away from home all the time.
March 29, 200422 yr Author Who didn't know he was coming back? Seriously?. Well, considering the guy has done nothing but rip WWE since he left, I pretty much assumed he wasn't coming back. I should really know better by now though.
March 29, 200422 yr EXACTLY. How many guys who said they'd never come back have? Off the top of my head I can name Piper, Paul Bearer, Hogan, the list goes on and on...
March 29, 200422 yr And he won't come back soon because he's doing movie stuff, it has nothing to do with "passion." He's said numerous occasions that he doesn't have the passion for it. He doesn't live and breathe it like most wrestlers. Brock didn't have the passion either, because he was an amateur wrestler first, just as Goldberg was a pro football player first. I don't think he respects the business as much as a lot of guys. I hate to say that he's just in it to make money, but that's pretty much it.
March 29, 200422 yr I'd rather not see him back, I have never really been a fan of Goldberg. Vince should use that money to try and get some other guys to come back instead of him.
March 31, 200422 yr I don't agree with that passion crap. Dynamite Kid, arguably one of the greatest ring technicians of all time (hero to Bret Hart and Chris Benit; Chris Benoit does his moveset and basically IS Dynamite Kid) HATED the business. He was in it for the money, even though it wasn't THAT good.
