The thing you see Fox struggling in the outfield, probably is a direct result from him not shagging balls in the outfield for the last few years since he has been here....

 

 

You simply cannot go into the outfield and expect to be great....

 

 

 

Only a very few have this ability.

 

 

 

I would suspect that if he were to get more practice time out there, you would see his game in the outfield improve greatly.

 

 

 

Ideally on your bench you want...

 

 

 

two outfielders

A catcher

two infielders

 

you improve when you have guys that can play multiple positions...like a guy that can play both corner spots on the infield...a guy that can play the infield and the outfield....

 

 

You want a guy who has been either a short or second baseman in his career....

 

 

Since the Marlins carry three catchers, this makes it difficult to have a balanced bench, especially when the catchers dont play anywhere but behind the plate.
