There has been alot of talk comparing the two so vote for which one you would rather have and why.

Redman, he wasn't that bad. Oliver has a career 5 ERA, and I've seen him pitch twice now. He has a tendency to get behind in the counts and let too many guys on base.

I'm liking DO so far but Big Red has a whole season on him. If he can just be that consistent innings eater and keep us close I'm be just as jazzed as I was with Red.

I hate the way Redman pitched. Too slow IMO. DO is ok...he does tend to make his pitch counts get high but he had a quality start in his first showing. I was at the game and he did a good job...the fireworks were nicer though.

DO throws a little too much to first for my liking, but w/e. He likes to kill fan momentum.

Darren is funner to watch and more atheletic. I love pitchers who can hit and field their position nicely.

I'd take Mark Redman anyday. He was probablly the most consistent starter in our rotation last year. No offense to Darren Oliver, as I'm sure he'll do his job and be productive in this rotation, but Mark Redman is a much better pitcher.

Oliver doesnt strike alot of hitters out so Redman gets my vote but it is way too early to judge

Too early to even think about this sort of stuff. Come back to me in August.

Redman I would have to go with. He already proved last year that he can pitch well in the NL especially at PPS.

 

The jury is still out on Oliver.
