Yes, but the point of the draft is for less talented teams to be able to pick the most talented players. Big Big spending, while not as exagerrated as in baseball because of the presence of the cap, still is evident. There are teams that can spend money and teams that can't regardless of cap. Also there are just teams that are perennial losers that can't sign free agents because no one wants to play for them. The draft ensures them that they will be receiving quality players (well, unless they draft a bust, but that's besides the point right now). If players start deciding where they get to go, the rich will get richer, the poor will get poorer, and the draft will be moot. Players will come out of college, go to winning teams or to teams that play in a cool city or that are close to home or that are offering more money or that was the team they rooted for as a little kid, and the place will be a mess. You can't have this garbage because it sets a precedent that other people will follow. I am with Ramp in adding Eli to the "Hope He Has A Career Ending Injury" list

April 25, 200422 yr I probably wouldn't go as far and say I hope he has a career ending injury but I do hope that he turns out to be a bust and the Giants suck and the Chargers end up being really good :thumbup

I dont really like wishing for anyone to get injured but maybe him turning out to be a bust is something I defintely would like for that cry baby.

Thats classless and shows no respect to your fans, because you're flat out lying to them. How does that not tarnish a legacy? However, i cant really hate on the wish for injury. Youre talking to the guy who wished all the St Louis Rams parents and children would die when they beat the Titans in the Superbowl.
