Since when does a college star get to pick who he is playing for. I know that he can go and holdout from signing a contract, but in the end that will hurt him as much as the Chargers. I hope that they do pick him and then he dosent play all season, I would love to see the Chargers waste another pick.

his agent told the chargers NOT to draft him, so im guessing that means its not only archie that doesnt want him in san diego

I wouldn't want to play the Chargers or even the Broncos. Give me the glitz and glamor of the northeaast where I can be hyped every day of the week.

 

 

What is probably most interesting about ths is how this changes the first ten draft picks. If the Chargers move down to #4 and take PhiLLLLip Rivers who was expected to go to Pittsburgh at 11 that means everone moves back a bit. Fitzgerald and Gallery are solid bets for 2 and 3, but the big loser may be Kellen Winslow. He's not really the blocking tight end Skins' coach Joe Gibbs likes, and might drop below the other talented receivers. Any scramble to get Roethlisberger will see teams that may have taken a tight end take a package of picks and grab Ben Toupe or Ben Watson later.

Archie doesnt want Eli to go to San Diego simply becasue their o-line is horrid. They couldnt protect a bologna sandwich fellas. Period. The reason ELi said he's willing to sit out this season if the Chargers pick him is because his dad went to their GM man to man in private and addressed his concerns about Eli playing behind a s***ty O-Line, then the Chargers took it public. That's straight up bush league by that franchise. Period. They probably had no intention of picking Maanning # 1 anyway, they just did this so they can avoid the fans crying foul if they picked someone else.

but if the Chargers were to pass on Eli w/o letting the public know why, they would lost alot of money in season tix
