why not play 2 on friday, then go to wrigley as scheduled, play 3 games in 2 days there, and come back for 1 in miami. or play 1 in miami then go to chicago and play 3 in 2 days, which ever one would take less travel

You don't understand what's going on, it is cheating and everytime he throws a pitch he rubs pinetar on the sweet spot of the ball in the same manner one would with spit, vaseline, and other illegal foreign substances.? Both Tony Larussa and Tavarez pretty much admitted that it was pinetar after the game in the press conference.? He deserves a suspension and a fine and i'm sure he'll receive both, you obviously don't realize how serious this is.? There is absolutely no excuse for a pitcher to have pinetar on the brim of his hat unless he was cheating, period. 521183[/snapback] I'm not gonna say he cheated or does but why doesnt Kline get checked more often? Why only Tavarez? What he did was wrong no matter how much I dont think he did anything illegal. It's perfectly legal. You can't have too much (ask George Brett) but it's legal because it doesn't effect how far the ball goes, or whether or not you hit it. Just keeps your grip. Plus they don't touch their helmet to get an illegal substance, so it's perfectly legal. Pine tar on the hat is illegal because you aren't allowed to put any substance on the ball. 521510[/snapback] i have to agree, and disagree with you here. i agree its cheating on tavarez's part. but why do they allow rosen bags then? and yea, gripping a bat may not have anything to do with how far you hit a ball, but grip on a ball doesnt make a difference on how fast you throw a pitch. and even though you may have an arguement by saying that it makes their breaking pitches break more, i could argue by saying that a pine tar grip makes a hitters swing more solid. my opinion is, if you ban foreign substances, then ban it completely. its just like saying a hitter could take steroids, but pitchers cant. either you emphazise the rule both ways or you dont at all.

It was LF, I was right in front of her...she pulled down her pants and started flashing her thong to everyone. Some guys were telling her off. I thought she had a pretty nice a**, it was worth the price of admission 507010[/snapback] wtf! why doesnt this ever happen when i go to games. the best entertainment i ever got in a game was a fight in last years game 3 of the WS. 2 guys in the upperdeck under the scoreboard in right field went at it. it was pretty cool. it was a yankee fan who kept blowing a fog horn, and the guy sitting in the next row right under him got sick of it (it was during the rain delay in the 7th i believe) and in a rude manner told him to "stop with that s***!" and the guy said "i dont have to, a**hole!" and bam! the guy just swung at him! it was FKN awesome

i never thought clutch would define the season. i guess its impossible to overstate its value. i think the marlins have all the pieces. but they just have been too unfortunate.
