Banks To Announce Retirement

 

Brian Banks

August 20, 2004 - Isotopes outfielder Brian Banks will be retiring from professional baseball following tonight's game against the Omaha Royals.

 

Banks played 12 seasons in professional baseball, reaching the Majors with Milwaukee (96-99) and Florida (02-03). He hit .246 in 273 games with 13 HR and 64 RBI in the Majors, winning a World Series with Florida in 2003. Banks was a second round draft pick of the Milwaukee Brewers in 1993.

 

He hit .326 with 6 HR and 30 RBI in 66 games before Friday?s final game.

Where do you (and others) get off thinking that The Ring is everything, get it and just retire.

You know little about dedicated athletes. If you think you can still contribute you want to be out there!
